    Hi All

I had a fab walk on Sunday, weather was perfect, I had to slow my pace down for my friend & even then she said I was going to fast, so we done 13.8 miles in bang on 4 hours :T No blisters, back & legs a wee bit sore but nothing to complain about & we raised lots of pennies for charity!!! I did enjoy the burger at the end!

Only caught up with a wee bit of the thread, had a big cookathon on Saturday 7.30 -4.30 so all main meals now cooked/planned for next 3 weeks.

SHALA can I report a 1lb loss, finally getting me my 1 stone award, total now 1st 0.5 lb, need 0.5lb to get my club 10 next week! I was pleased as I am not a big loser anyway, but still a loser :D.

    EE Today:-
B - Mushrooms, scrambled eggs, apple
L - Salmon & tomato sauce (1 syn), letucce, peppers, cucumber, beetroot (1 syn for dressing), melon, pineapple
D - Jacket Potato with tuna I think, not sure yet & salad
A & B - 3 SS Ryvita, 3 LCL, beetroot (rest of A counted as 2 dashes milk in coffee)

Had peppermint tea last night, was actually quite pleasant, used 5.5 syns for a kit kat.
Have a good day all, will try to catch up whilst at work :D

You're my new favourite GT, I'll find it when I'm home, I think I might have seen it on the korma page, thinking on.

My reasoning is a colleague, skeptical of SW, bought a crustless quiche from a supermarket this week, which was RANK. I said SW do one, he said it would be rubbish.

So I'm perfecting SW quiche. Then rubbing it in his face. Not literally, alas I don't work in a circus...

I have tried a few different ones, didnt like the pasta one or the corned beef & onion one, this is one I have made from the start & I can honestly say I would eat this rather than a pastry one, its just delicious!!! I make to & freeze portions for lunch. I also used smoked bacon

Bacon, leek & sweet potato quiche (Slimmingeats.com recipe)
    Ingredients

4 slices of lean bacon (all fat
    removed), chopped
1 medium sweet potato, peeled and chopped
    2 leeks, sliced
    black pepper
400g of fat free cottage cheese
    4 eggs
120g of cheddar cheese, grated (2HEa’s)

    Frylight

    Method

Preheat oven to 180c or 350f

Spray a frying pan over a medium high heat with some Frylight
Add the bacon and fry until golden
Add, the leeks and sweet potato, plus a sprinkling of black peppercook for about 5 mins until softened
Transfer mixture to a quiche dish, sprayed with Frylight andspread out evenly
Add the eggs and cottage cheese to a blender
Blend until smooth and pour oven mixture in quiche dish
Sprinkle over the top with your cheese
Place in the oven and bake until mixture is set and slightlygolden on top – approx 35-40mins.
Allow to cool slightly in dish and then slice and serve

  • Hi, I've been with SW for 18 months now and just found this forum on here. Anyway just thought I'd share this with you as I tried it last week and it's superb

Did it with chicken rather than duck and used 0% fat yogurt.

Having a green day, and have seriously upped the body magic this week. Managed a 90 minute walk yesterday, it was a lovely day here, but today is dreary and raining so am going to try 30 minutes pilates at home this evening.

Loads of positivity and some seriously good losses on here!:T

hanks for the recipe, macpep. I do a sort of quiche Lorraine with a mashed potato base. It's perfect for having with salad as it makes it more substantial. Basically, it's mashed potato in the base of the dish and then the usual bacon and onions and pour over the beaten egg and milk with as much cheese as you're allowing yourself with perhaps sliced tomato on top before baking. It's an old recipe that fits SW really well.

Good to see you back denise. We had jambalaya the other night. My recipe says chicken and cubes of ham (cooked gammon or bacon would be fine and syn free). I expect the chorizo tastes better though.;)

    EE day for me:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: cold beef with bubble & squeak
    D: out at a carvery
Syns: squirt of HP sauce and whatever I have out tonight.

Blue eyed girl - Believe me if I can do it - anyone can!! I never thought it would be possible for me to get to not being overweight - but somehow with perseverance I got here! I have had many many bumps in the road but keep on going and I'm not going back!!

I am planning some sort of chicken salad for dinner - really need to redeem myself for Thursday and try and limit the damage - also I need to commit to doing at least an hours housework tonight. I have invited friends round on Saturday night - as I know that it will make me clean the house! How bad is that!!

I am also going to head up to the gym at half 8 and do an hour - - again to try and redeem myself !!!

Well weighed in very nervously and goodness knows how after my holiday, and I know I don't deserve it but 2lb loss. so so pleased think I would have had my best loss ever if I hadn't been such a pig. but ohhhh I did enjoy the food in Amsterdam, I went to Rome in January full of expectations but really was not impressed with the food, I told my DD thought we had better pizza and pasta in Prague last year.
