Reporting in with result for Wk 1 of the Challenge and I am very happy to say it was 7.5lbs :j.
Nothing to eat for me now for the rest of the night as I have a fasting blood test in the morning.. I am not hungry but I think it's all in the mind
I heard someone mention mushy pea curry tonight in class. Has anyone got a tried and tested recipe - at first it sounds a bit scary but I like mushy peas.
Well done on the great losses everyone.

OMG that's amazing - well done, a fabulous start0 -
Mildredd, what a bummer.. I guess your body just needs to recover. I'm sure once you're back into your pattern it'll fall back off x
Flateric- could you give yourself a break and just "healthy eat" rather than follow plan.. there's less pressure and thinking and you may find that you naturally fall into the SW way instinctively.. It may give you a nice break until you feel your heart is in it again..Oh that's absolutely brilliant :T Very well done Suse, I'm so glad you've done so wellSuse? Suse? Who the hell is Suse? Damn girl, am praying for water retention for her this week :mad:cheeky!!
Brilliant losses from everyone.. you're all storming the challenge as usual!!

I do not understand the diets, you can have as much as you like of some foods? Then how do you lose weight? I have done calories before and Rosemary Conley and did well.
Callmechar - have a quick look at post 2 on this thread, it outlines the basics of the plan, however, your consultant will explain it further.
SW say you can have unlimited free foods but what the small print should say is that you can eat as much as you want until you feel satisfied, with 1/3 of your meal being superfree foods (i.e. most fruits and vegetables)
Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
:TIt was lovely having the long weekend last week but I found going back to work on Tuesday hard work and found it difficult to get myself organised with all things food and life in general.
This weekend just gone was very busy (unusual for me) so this didn't help with my sw plans. I suppose what I am saying is it has been a rubbish week!
Weigh in is tomorrow but I never seem to be able to pick myself back up and get back into gear from today. A shame really as I could get a hard start on next week’s loss.
I have been thinking of giving up SW but I’ve put on over half a stone since Christmas and I would hate for this to creep up to a full stone. So I don’t know what to do really?
My heart isn’t in at the moment and I begrudge having to stick to a plan/stick syns so I’m at a loss as to what to do for the best.
Don't give up I feel like that most days, but I realise the weight will pile on. You will feel worse if you give up and start to put on. Keep reading what others do, then think... I can do that. And keep trying you will win one day. If it's any consolation, if you are not gaining nor losing at least you will be eating healthily. Don't think of it as a diet or plan it your way of eating, and you can eat what you want !!! Almost.0 -
Gally - I've added you onto the challenge, just let me know your weight loss tomorrow and i'll stick it on.
Which is kinda pants compared to some of the losses on here - excellent :j:j:jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

hi all. iv been lurking and reading this fabulous thread for a few weeks now, following plan, and im now very near to target.
but i have a little problem, this months money is a little tight so i need to lower my food bill a bit, we are a family of 4, we all eat 3 meals a day from the kitchen and i usually spend £100 a week. as slimming world fits into family life so easily i cook the same evening meal for all of us but we have different breakfasts and lunches. can anyone suggest some cheaper evening meals for us to have? wer not picky and will try anything, but it needs to have 1/3 superfree.
obviously i know the basics like jacket potatoes or egg and chips but i cant just keep serving these! i made a turkey lasagna on saturday night and added up how much it cost to make- £6.70! i served with salad and some garlic bread for the others, but iv realized that's why we spend so much!!
Have you looked on a girl called jack website as there are budget friendly recipes and most of them are SW friendly. I have her book and just replace any oil with frylight and any cheese in the recipe I use as a healthy extra.Officially debt free :j0 -
Well done b_e_g for such a great loss and and also to gallygirl, I can't imagine myself coming back from holiday with a weight loss,it's a nice thought though...:)
Today's Red menu has been:
Breakfast - Porridge oats (HEB), forest fruits, Mullerlight
Lunch - Cheese (HEA) sandwich (HEB), clementine, grapes
Tea - 2 Weight Watchers pork sausages (1 syn), scrambled eggs, grilled tomato, mushrooms, Mullerlight, apple
Supper - Seafood Platter, Highlights (2syns) made with milk (HEA)0 -
Some excellent loses this week :j
B-J-D - I bulk anything that has mince out with extra veg and red lentils to make my pennies stretch. Recently started added dried soya mince to, cannot tell the difference when its cooked.
Veg and chickpea curries go down well here too and are a great way to use veg up that is slightly past its best.
Everyone will be pleased to know I have been to the loo! Feel quite a bit better but still a bit bloated. This is the 3rd time this has happened since I started slimming world. I do think its the reduced amount of fat. Might have olive oil as my heb once a week and see how that goes.
Tried some size 24 jeans on today and they nearly fit! So fingers crossed its not long before I go down a size. Setting up a new shop this week so not going to have the time to exercise. All the carrying and lifting will count as body magic though. Food wise its going to be a struggle as I will be out of the house 12-16 hours per day until Sunday. Got some speed soup to take with me tomorrow, and will try and make a salad in the morning before I leave.
Breakfast - bran flakes, shape 0 fat yoghurt
lunch - 2.5 mug shots ( i was hungry!), grapes, shape 0 fat yoghurt
tea - ikea Tortellini with pepper & tomato, peas, salad
Snacks - apple, melon, shape 0 fat yoghurt, baby bell
Hea - 1 x baby bell, milk in cuppas
heb - bran flakes
Syns - well not sure about the Ikea Tortellini pepper & tomato - it had no cheese but they may have used oil so I am going to say 6 syns for it. Curly wurly 6.5 TOTAL 12.50 -
