    Morning all..

PLMBL - agree with Beanie, it's just a blip.. you've lost loads, so celebrate that and then get back on it!

Mildredd - that was rather an extreme way to lose weight ;) I hope you feel perkier soon.

thankfully Mildredd you weren't in the challenge.. god we'd never live it down if you beat frogga ;)

talking of which.. frogga, hold your horses.. unfortunately you are not the only one with an 8lb loss this week, the lovely suse* also lost 8lb so I think you'll find it a bit cramped on that there podium! (note to all others, this isn't a competition but we have to humour the frog :D)

Gally - I've added you onto the challenge, just let me know your weight loss tomorrow and i'll stick it on.

Eating wise today... no idea what day but I've just got to try and keep the calories down..

    B - 2 toast heb, spread 2
    L - belvita (?) banana
T - stew - loads of veg, not much meat, might add some potatoes
    S - milk hea

Right i'm off to court.. Oorff with his head!!!

    Morning Peeps,

So I managed to get through a whole week without bingeing on sugar. I feel I did probably binge on fruit. But hey ho at least that's free

I had an annoying conversation with my Mum yesterday. She was talking about the perils of diet drinks and how bad coke is for me and the sweetener in yogurt etc. and also did I know that there were 7 teaspoons of sugar in a banana?  and I just thought, for heavens sake, I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or eat meat. I don't go out, spend money on clothes, hair or make up. So I drink diet coke and eat activia and fruit! So shoot me!! I find that sort of talk very troubling because I get all muddled about whether SW is the right thing. A sensible text from Mildredd made me feel better though so all was well in the end ;)

SO I weighed this morning. And the result was as expected to be honest as I always lose a lot in week one. I was 16st 10lb and now I'm 16st 2lb so a
loss of 8lb for week 1 please ShalaMoo

I don't need to sing and dance about how fantastic that is, because let us not forget that I put on 4st since Christmas so there is still along way to go before I even get back there, let alone get to target. But it's a start I guess.
I just need to keep going,
stay focused, and carry on with the SW principles which I know work for me.

Good luck to everyone else weighing today. See you all next Monday, when I hope to be able to say I'm in the 15's again (which is still 5st overweight!).

Oh, as an aside, I really don't like competitiveness, I find it very crass and showyoffie so please don't bang on and on about how I'm bound to be Slimmer of The Week or anything. I'll just sit quietly and wait to be told.... but I expect no one else has lost that much... but it's the taking part that counts...awards and such like don't mean anything to me...

Frogga! how on earth did you lose 8 lb it takes me all my time to lose a pound and this week I have done Nothing. Well done.

    Morning all,

Rough night's sleep for me, awake far too early, and feeling poop because of this ruddy cold I've got. Sipping fruit tea to soothe my throat, and grateful I'm not starting work today!

I've been through the very varied list of freezer food, and worked out a meal plan for the week. Hurrah! The fridge is full of yogurts and fruit, so we're good to go. :D

    Today's meal plan : EE

    B - Danio yogurt (1), banana, apple
L - Savoury rice - half pack (1), Five beans, mixed salad
D - Smoked Haddock, mash, veggies

Snacks - kiwi fruit, LF yogurt (1)
    HeA - milk in teas
HeB - Apricot wheats for supper if I fancy them, or a Kellogs bar

Referring back to the lack of 'going' by some of us. It occurred to me that whenever I eat anything with a higher fat content now, it seems to go straight through me. I wonder if the lack of fats in our diet might be contributing to it? If you're eating plenty of fibre, and keeping up the fluid intake we should go. So maybe allow yourself some extra syns or a HeB for some good oil in the diet could help?

Morning all, I'm missing my weigh in tonight to go out for dinner with my girlies. How ironic!

However I got on my scales this morning and I've lost 1 lb in the week, so I'm pleased with that. I had a real sweet tooth over the weekend, and was craving peanut butter and jam on a ryvita, so I had to have 2 on Sat!

I made a big batch of soup last night, to try and much through the cravings, butternut squash, red pepper and onion, so all good stuff. I'm going to try and snack on that instead o sweet stuff.

I discovered laughing cow blue cheese over the weekend. Wow, it's amazing, and much better for flavouring things like last nights risotto. But it's having a very bad gassy effect!!

I'm going to be a good gilr and no syns all day to save them for dinner tonight. Last time at that restraunt they did a hallumi dish, which was gorgeous, so will cal it a green day in anticipation.

Oh, and "freezer surprise" makes for some interesting meals in this house too! I really must learn to label my tubs!!
We have a number of freezer bags containing unidentified meat (identified when we bought it I hasten to add, just keep forgetting to label them when we freeze them) - we call them UFOs (unidentified frying objects!) :rotfl:
am now deciding whether I want to fritter away 6.5 syns on a Tunnock's snowball. It's sitting on my desk with no sign of melting away...

Ok I'm bloated and still got some water retention but throw me a bone here and let me have a little weight loss :@ I mean the liver and kidney failing suntan that's gone I can live with but I'd of thought Id be allowed a little (stone or so) weight loss?!

Got weighed this morning and have lost 5 lbs :j I now have my half stone award and a total loss of 10lbs since joining SW but as I lost 7lbs before joining, my overall loss is 1st 3lbs. I'm so pleased and feel that at last I'm on my way to losing weight.

I don't know why I've lost so much compared to other weeks as I've always stayed on plan but I had a full week following the Red plan, so maybe that suits me better for weight loss. Anyway, I'm going to have another Red week and see what happens.:)

SeaBee, I'm just up the road from you, in Hoyland. If I was able to get to the SW group, we would most likely be in the same one.:rotfl:

    frogga, well done, that's a brilliant loss.:T

How spooky - we moved from Hoyland to Elsecar 3 years ago. Oh, and congratulations on your loss!

Mildredd - talk about adding insult to injury!! Still, it will take time for your body to recover from the op, so make sure you give it time to and then you can get back on plan

It was lovely having the long weekend last week but I found going back to work on Tuesday hard work and found it difficult to get myself organised with all things food and life in general.

This weekend just gone was very busy (unusual for me) so this didn't help with my sw plans. I suppose what I am saying is it has been a rubbish week!

Weigh in is tomorrow but I never seem to be able to pick myself back up and get back into gear from today. A shame really as I could get a hard start on next week’s loss.

I have been thinking of giving up SW but I’ve put on over half a stone since Christmas and I would hate for this to creep up to a full stone. So I don’t know what to do really?

My heart isn’t in at the moment and I begrudge having to stick to a plan/stick syns so I’m at a loss as to what to do for the best.

hi all. iv been lurking and reading this fabulous thread for a few weeks now, following plan, and im now very near to target.

but i have a little problem, this months money is a little tight so i need to lower my food bill a bit, we are a family of 4, we all eat 3 meals a day from the kitchen and i usually spend £100 a week. as slimming world fits into family life so easily i cook the same evening meal for all of us but we have different breakfasts and lunches. can anyone suggest some cheaper evening meals for us to have? wer not picky and will try anything, but it needs to have 1/3 superfree.

obviously i know the basics like jacket potatoes or egg and chips but i cant just keep serving these! i made a turkey lasagna on saturday night and added up how much it cost to make- £6.70! i served with salad and some garlic bread for the others, but iv realized that's why we spend so much!!
