MrsR - wowser :T.
I went completely off the wall last month but back now. Especially as I think I have a type of acid reflux and Dr Google has a lot to say on this along the lines of 'excess weight nearly doubles the risk of GERD symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn, chest pain, and difficulty swallowing'. I had it before, then lost almost 3.5 stones and it disappeared. Since putting most of that back on it has reappeared
.
Can someone please tell me what the challenge is - I've scrolled through a load of pages but missed it.
Weigh in tomorrow night .A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Haven't had chance to post over the weekend but have managed to stay on plan with no problems.
Today is a Red day again:
Breakfast - All Bran (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA), banana
Lunch - Roast beef, new potatoes (HEB), cabbeage, carrots, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, gravy (1.5 syns), grapes
Tea - Seafood Platter, salad, orange
Supper - Celery, Philadelphia Light (HEA), Highlights (2 syns)
Mrs_Ryan, well done, you look fabulous. My starting weight is similar to yours and if I can achieve a similar weight loss by this time next year, I will be so happy.:)
Tazzy, I'm glad you raised the subject as I've been exactly the same. I've had a full week on the Red plan so don't know if it's helped but I've been "going" a bit more often.:o
SeaBea, I'm from tarn too!:D

Morning Peeps,
So I managed to get through a whole week without bingeing on sugar. I feel I did probably binge on fruit. But hey ho at least that's free
I had an annoying conversation with my Mum yesterday. She was talking about the perils of diet drinks and how bad coke is for me and the sweetener in yogurt etc. and also did I know that there were 7 teaspoons of sugar in a banana?  and I just thought, for heavens sake, I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or eat meat. I don't go out, spend money on clothes, hair or make up. So I drink diet coke and eat activia and fruit! So shoot me!! I find that sort of talk very troubling because I get all muddled about whether SW is the right thing. A sensible text from Mildredd made me feel better though so all was well in the end
SO I weighed this morning. And the result was as expected to be honest as I always lose a lot in week one. I was 16st 10lb and now I'm 16st 2lb so a
loss of 8lb for week 1 please ShalaMoo
I don't need to sing and dance about how fantastic that is, because let us not forget that I put on 4st since Christmas so there is still along way to go before I even get back there, let alone get to target. But it's a start I guess.
I just need to keep going, stay focused, and carry on with the SW principles which I know work for me.
Good luck to everyone else weighing today. See you all next Monday, when I hope to be able to say I'm in the 15's again (which is still 5st overweight!).
Oh, as an aside, I really don't like competitiveness, I find it very crass and showyoffie so please don't bang on and on about how I'm bound to be Slimmer of The Week or anything. I'll just sit quietly and wait to be told.... but I expect no one else has lost that much... but it's the taking part that counts...awards and such like don't mean anything to me...Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi - glad someone raised the "constipation issue".:o I have done my first week - weigh in tomorrow morning and I too have had the same problem. Daily salad, two eggs every other day, bran flakes? Can't understand it as eating so much more fruit and veg and drinking too.
I use Dulcoease when previously had probs - usually when away and not drinking enough during the day.
Will try the kiwi fruit idea now - thanks for that.
Keep up the good work everyone.July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

Morning all
Back at work today. Boy that 5.45 alarm was a shock to the system!!
Jeanie - Hello from Elsecar  I moved "ooop norf" from Kent 8 years ago, a very different way of life, but lovely people.
Shala - can you put me down for a loss of 1.5lb thanks :T
Frogga - you can maybe start tapping your foot to warm up for your victory dance (think of the body magic)
GallyGirl - the challenge is a bit of fun to help keep us on track. It normally runs for 10 weeks and everyone decides how much they want to aim to lose within that time frame, then posts their losses, gains or STS every week after weigh in. Shala very kindly keeps track on a chart which she posts on here so we can see our progress
Right, enough chat, best get on and do some work!! Happy Monday everyone0 -
