Hi, has anyone had sciatica, if so how do you get rid of it.? I have had it for a month now. I have arthritis which has disabled me for years. I have tried sciatica excersises for the last 2 weeks but nothing helps. It's so debilitating and it's putting me off my Slimming World.

wizkid - yes I have had it years ago and it was bloomin painful so can understand why its putting you off. I resolved mine by seeing an osteopath. Originally saw a physiotherapist but it only got worse, saw GP and they referred me to an Osteopath under the NHS....and bingo did the trick lovely.

You're my new favourite GT, I'll find it when I'm home, I think I might have seen it on the korma page, thinking on.

My reasoning is a colleague, skeptical of SW, bought a crustless quiche from a supermarket this week, which was RANK. I said SW do one, he said it would be rubbish.

So I'm perfecting SW quiche. Then rubbing it in his face. Not literally, alas I don't work in a circus...

I make a roasted veg crustless quiche as I mainly do green days. I chop up a butternut squash, courgettes, mushrooms, peppers, red onions, aubergine and garlic and roast in the oven until all the veg is soft. This makes loads and then I freeze in portions so I can make the quiche or a vegetable lasagne.

When I make the quiche I use a portion of the roasted vegetables with a tub of Mr T healthy living onion and chive cottage cheese. I use a stick blender to blend the cottage cheese so it is not so lumpy and mix in 3 eggs, then add your roasted veg and salt and pepper and mix. Spray an ovenproof dish with frylight and then pour the mixture into the dish and cook for about 20 mins on 200c. Sometimes I mix in 40g reduced fat cheddar as a HEA.

I have also made into individual quiches with the same mixture and used a muffin tin or silicone cases which are great for taking to work with salad for lunch.

If you do extra easy or original it would be nice to add ham or bacon to the quiche mixture.

Evening all, *bends knees and bobs up and down*

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far. I've had a fairly quiet day, catching up on chores at home; will I ever get to the bottom of washing basket?!!

Have had another day fully on plan too - whoohoo!

    today's plan : EE

    B - Danio yogurt (1), banana

    L - Bacon sandwich HeB, + 10 syns, ketchup (1)

D - Chicken grilled in bacon, carrots, broccoli, sweetcorn, Home Fries (2), ketchup (1)

    HeA - milk in teas
    Total syns = 15

Got to start putting together an online shopping order, so that we're stocked up on plenty of SW friendly goodies. Want to try to get my big freezer defrosted too, so will have to figure out what we can use up to empty that out this week.

Thanks for the quiche and frittata ideas. I do like a SW quiche, so that's reminded me to make one too. I've got plenty of eggs already, so that'll save me some pennies.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Never tried roasted veg in SW quiche, must try tomorrow. I also add a pack of pasta and sauce ( cooked) adds flavour and chunkiness, also use 6 eggs
