Thanks all and thinking of you Beanie too.

Taking Top Boy to town today for bowling, carvery, GP appointments and shopping so quite a busy one.

Breakfast - Bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes

    Snack - Melon

Dinner - Carvery, going to try to stay SW friendly, cut the fat off the meat and load up on the vegetables.

    Tea/supper - Superspeed soup

    HEXA - Milk
    HEXB - Not sure yet

Syns - Whatever happens at the carvery and a 2 syn options before bed.

Shala - I've a couple of good days to come, then a few drinks and some food with friends on Sun and WI for the challenge on Monday morning if that's okay?
  • Thinking of you too Beanie sorry about the sad news.

I woke up this morning feel awful and lightheaded/sick. Think I've shocked my body a bit. I haven't been under eating but the amount I was eating before was ridiculous so I think my stomach is feeling a bit neglected!

    So today
B: 2 chocolate weetabix with milk (hea and heb +2syns)
S: A little coconut Easter cake thingy (5 syns) and an orange
L: Pasta Arrabiata and salad, will power needed to stay off the cheese although I didn't use all of milk allowance but didn't measure either.
D: Supposed to be sausage casserole but that might take me to too many syns so will have to see what is in the freezer.

Will hopefully have more choice once we've done a big shop after we have emptied the freezer and cupboards.

    Hi

Shala can you put me down for 14 pounds in the next challenge please?

I'm doing SW online, and have been doing Extra Easy. I'm wondering if I would do better on green? Anyone got a view on that?

Also - people who shop in Aldi, am going to pay them a visit. What do you buy there that's good on SW, please?

    Thanksx

Hi, whichever day suits you is fine... enjoy your weekend!

Pinklady, i love green days but then i'm a carb-o-holic! you can still lose weight on them but just be careful of your portion sizes i think... and still try to get lots of veg and fruit.

It's easy to think that you can have 4 bowls of pasta because "SW says I can have unlimited" but in reality you wouldn't lose weight eating 2000+ calories of pasta every day (extreme example i know!:D)

Green is perfect for vegetarians but EE is better suited if you're a meat & 2 veg sort of person that also likes your carbs. The big advantage of Green is that you can have 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs a day so very convenient if you want a proper sandwich and perhaps cheese. The downside is you'd have to syn meat (or have a small amount as a HEB). There's nothing to stop you mixing it up and having Green some days and EE on others. Some consultants recommend that as the variety can have good effects.

I shop in Aldi and mainly buy basics there as I do most of my cooking from scratch. So:
    • porage oats
    • loads of fruit and veg
    • pasta
    • rice
    • tomatoes and passata
    • frozen and mushy peas
    • tinned potatoes
    • red beans
    • tinned carrots
    • various fresh meats esp. FR chicken and gammon joints
    • FF yogurt
    • milk
    • cheese (mature cheddar)
    • FR eggs
    • savoury rice (1.5 syns)
    • couscous (0.5)
    • peppers as antipasti
Hopefully someone will come along soon that's tried some ready meals. If you're not getting much success with EE why don't you post your menus to see if we can help?

WI for me this morning and I STS. I'm pleased with that as I'm now a pound below target which is a good place to be. So, over challenge, I've been away gained 3lbs and lost it! Exactly as I'd hoped.:)

Thanks so much for keeping us on track shala. You're a star!

Went to WI this morning and lost another 1.5lb - really pleased with that as it leaves me at 1lb off the bottom end of target so I have 5lb to play with and still stay within target for my 10 or so days holiday, although I'm not sure I'll be able to get to WI that week as have another appointment that morning.
