    Brilliant Annie:D

I agree with you about SE being a money making machine MrsR. You'd have thought with the recession particularly they'd make an effort to show people that SW can be done without costing a bomb. I don't think they're as bad as WW with all their branded foods, but at least WW stuff is available cheaply in £ shops, Iceland and Farmfoods!

I really feel I've gained a bit this week. Put clean jeans on to go out tonight and they feel really snug.:( I'll find out soon enough at WI on Thursday.
  • Just to improve matters, we've been told Stix bars aren't a HEB either :(.

The 'old' Alpen light bars (which are a HEB) have 70 calories written in the right hand corner of the box, the new ones (not a HEB) have 89 cals written in the same place Xx

    I've had another green day:

    Breakfast - Banana, Mullerlight

Lunch - Jacket potato, baked beans, Lemon Cheesecake Mullerlight (1 syn), few grapes

Dinner - Pasta & sauce made with 80g extra lean mince (HEA), tinned chopped tomatoes, red & green peppers, onion, mushrooms, herbs, 30g Parmesan (HEB), satsuma

I'm still so full, I doubt I'll want the HEs that I saved for my supper so I'll probably just have a mug of Highlights (2 syns) at bedtime. That will be a total of 14.5 syns, which is the most I've had in any one day.:)

Just an observation but you seem to be muddling your HEAs and HEBs up - 95g extra lean mince is HEB - so you could have had a bit more than you did. You could have had your 30g Parmasan as HEB.

I would then have made the Highlight with milk at bedtime as HEA, although I suppose it may be that you don't use milk, in which case ignore me!

Finally decided on what I'm going to be eating today. Back to EE today:

B - magic porridge with banana & custard Mullerlight; banana
    L - ham salad
D - Something with mince with loads of veg added - so could be shepherds pie, topped with sliced potatoes & baked or just could some pasta! Will decide when I get back from my hospital appointment

Not decided on syns yet but have 11 left if I need that many but probably won't have anywhere near that!

    Morning all..

Lost 1lb this week.. :j I've lost two weeks in a row which is a first for me :D

I can barely speak this morning as the infection in my mouth means it hurts to open (OH is thankful :rotfl:) so i'm unsure what i'll be able to eat as i can't really chew!

    So
    B - banana - mushed
L - rice and pork - might not be able eat it though
    T - who knows!

Hope you all have a good day xx

Thanks Denise. I know I could've had a bit more mince but it was some leftover from something else I made that I'd bunged n the freezer. It was more than enough to put in sauce just for me.

I'm still not used to having some cheeses as B option on the green plan and always think of cheese as an A.

I usually only use milk on cereal so never thought of making my Hilights with it. Good idea and I'll remember to do that in future.:D

I stocked up on Alpen light and NuMe cereal bars whilst they were on offer at Morrisons last week. The Alpens are 70 calories and the NuMe 73 calories so is it still okay for me to use them as HEB's?

    Mrs_Ryan,
thanks for letting me know, I just checked my stash of mug shots, and I have 7, 2 have red writing, the rest black. Anyone know how many syns they are?

I'll also go and check my Alpen lights. I THINK they are 70 calories ones.

Deary me, who knew £shop stuff would cause such a stir. I bet my consultant wouldn't have told us either, that's the good thing about this group, always helping.
  • Jeanie I saw a few kick offs about this on various facebook pages and if they are old stock they can still be counted as hexbs :)

I've finally gotten around to starting today. Decided not to go to a group last night, think I will try and do it on my own first! We are also trying to empty our freezer and cupboards to use things up and so we can defrost the freezer so may have to use a few uneccessary syns for the first week or so.

    Todays menu:
    B: Full bowl of fruit
    L: Mugshot
D: Maggi Mexican Chicken (3 syns) was going to do with rice but think i'll do with salad and boiled egg instead.

S: I'll probably have 2 weetabix for hexb (2 syns as its chocolate weetabix) and milk hexa as not much there for breakfast and lunch.

    Syns: 5

Any new challenges starting soon? :)

I saw a few posts about challenges - do people want a break before the new challenge or shall we go straight into it after Easter?

It will be 10 weeks between BH Monday to the end of June - so 21st April - 30th June/1st July... do you all want to do a 10 weeker?
