  • Well, today has been my first official day of SW after yesterday was a disaster due to me being ill and preparing for family coming to stay.

Breakfast; DS Gluten Free White Ciabatta Roll (HEb), Bacon, Lurpak Lighter (1.5).

Lunch: Subway Salad (free) with Sweet Onion Dressing (2)

Dinner: Sweet Potato Rosti, Omelette with Artichoke, Peppers, Spring Onions, Basil (free). Sweet Chilli Sauce (1.5)

    Snack: Banana, Strawberries, Mullerlight
    250ml Semi Skimmed Milk (HEa)
GF Oreo (2.5) Sugar in hot drinks (3)

    Total syns: 10.5 Syns

And I'm starving lol! But I've managed to avoid all the junk that is in the house with a teen and a tween and a junk food eating brother staying with me.

    Evening all.

Quickly popping my head around the SW door to say hello, and report in. Having another lost-my-appetite-and-found-a-donkey's day today, so it's not really been great. No idea what's going on with me at the mo, maybe a motivational thing? I dunno.

    Anyway, here's today's plan: Original/Red

    B - Danio yogurt [1], apple, banana
    L - WM bread [HeB1&2], bacon, lettuce, ketchup [1]
    D - Chicken in b/crumbs [10], fries [12]
snack - apple tart [7], shape yogurt [0.5]

So WAY over syns again today.

I have been given a big bag of free veggies by a friend, and although I was thinking of making a big thing of soup, and then freezing portions to keep for lunches, do any of you have any other ideas before I do so? I have been given the following:

    3 sweet potatoes
    1 big floret of broccoli
    12 carrots
    4 beetroots
    3 courgettes
    3 leeks

I've already used some of one of the leeks in my omelette yesterday. I'm the only one who really liked courgette, but often sneak them into a bolognese, along with carrot. I'm not sure if I should try to put them into other meals, rather than 'waste' them in just soup?

The one thing I really don't like, and would need to disguise is the beetroot, although OH loves it. All I could think of was red velvet cake, but I guess that't not really the right way to go :D Oh gawd, I've just remembered I'm back to baking again next week for an event, so I'd better get my SW mojo back on FAST!!

    Evening all.

I'm getting a bit over-excited as I get married 3 weeks today - and yesterday I finally tried on THE DRESS!! Size 16 which seems mad as I normally wear at least a 20, BUT the back is going to be altered to one of those lace up corset affairs. It is nothing like I thought I would like at all being an 'older' bride (49!!), but it's amazing what a bit of boning does for your figure! My goodness I was surprised how curvy you become in a decent frock! Daughter took a headless photo of me (you may ask why?!) and I couldn't believe it was me. NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING SLIMMER FEELS!! So pleased I've stuck to it the last 15 weeks or so.

On the down side, I've been diagnosed with blepharitus today, which is making the new contact lenses a bit uncomfortable. Must make sure I stick to the cleaning routine, and hope it goes away in time.

I also realise I'm becoming a bit slack about sticking to it 100% the last few days, as there's a lot to organise and sort out and planning is going down the drain. Nothing major, just think it's easy to think you're doing it properly when you're not really. Like having a Carluccios meal with no idea what syns are really in it, but if it's a lamb steak it's probably ok . .. . probably loads of butter or oil in the delicious potatoes that came with it!!

    Hiya
I've been amazingly good today :) stuck to my syns and I'm weighing in on my home scales with what looks to be a 3lb loss. :j I've worked very hard this week as I am aware that the ball is now VERY near! I have to say I wasn't even tempted by the burger stall or the bottles of wine behind the bar :D I ate my pasta before I got off the coach so I wasn't hungry, and I did have a drink but I even drank less than I was planning so I came in under syns :)
    Saturday's menu:
B: 2 x HiFi light Rocky Road, coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Pasta with tomato and herbs, NAS Ribena
T: Co-op good for you sweet chilli chicken noodle salad (3.5) apple, mixed fruit pot, Fanta Zero
S: Roast chicken MugShot, ham, Sprite Zero.
Syns: 3 x small vodka and diet Cokes (7.5) and my chicken noodle salad- total 12. :)
Only body magic was walking about half a mile to a main bus stop as I had just missed the bus- but every little helps as they say :)
Shattered shattered shattered... Off to sleep now. Very long day!! Night all xx

miss_independent What make of Sweet Chilli Sauce do you use? I needed some for a stir fry recipe but couldn't find any, other than jars of dipping sauce or cooking sauce and I don't think they're the right ones, are they? I improvised by using tomato puree, chopped chilli and a bit of sweetener but I don't think that was right either. :rotfl:

Saw that coming. Need to sit down and have a long talk with me :D
  • oh, btw, if you happen to be in the area of any of the markets, ~Lincs/yorks~ I recomend treating yourself to the sausages here. Not so much more expensive than the low syn versions out there, but so much more tasty. So worth it. Most come in at 1 or 1/2 syn each.

Good morning, I am just checking if some kind soul will help me.

If I have some gammon or chicken in the fridge, can if eat it between meals if I am on an EE day or a red day?
Also I have been really extra good this week but my scales don't show much of a loss... Maybe a pound, but every time I get on them they never look any different. Is it the scales or am I not losing and doing something wrong. HELP !!!!
