No might about it, if you're going it alone then you should definitely come on here!:D

I'd say that if you've done it before you can do it again! Get planning, especially for what you can take to college during the day and easy meals for breakfast and when you get back. Maybe a bit of weekend batch cooking?

I don't know a great deal about coeliac. Is it like gluten free? Hopefully there'll be others on the thread that can offer specific advice.

    Welcome:)

    Thanks Maman,

Yes Coeliac Disease means you have to have a diet free of gluten (wheat, barley, malt, spelt, most oats, rye etc). I know that BFree wraps are now a healthy extra and are Gluten Free which would be great for lunch at uni but I usually have Gluten Free Porridge for breakfast as my heb. The hardest thing is finding Gluten Free SW friendly meals/snacks to eat out in my college town as if you are lucky you will get one GF option at a restaurant or cafe and chances are it won't be low syn or syn free.

Does anyone know of a good pasta/rice/ or cous cous salad recipe that keeps for a few days in the fridge? I do take soup as well but fancy a change now. Also how many days does SW Quiche keep for in the fridge?

I think I just need to be more organised. It's just very hard, doing 12 hour days then having at least two hours homework each night. I've ended up just doing what I can to survive lol! Don't even get me started on finding time to exercise .

miss_independent - it's not absolutely necessary to exercise - I rarely exercise except I do a bit of walking when I go away at weekends!

Went to WI this morning and was really surprised with a 2.5lb loss - don't think I've ever lost that amount in one week before - it's taken me down to just under target so really pleased with that as away for the weekend and then again from Good Friday until 28th, so probably not very SW friendly for most of that time, LOL!

Congratulations on your weight loss :T

Yeah...I know about not having to exercise for SW, I just really miss having the time to, I enjoy exercise and my body isn't just fat now, it's flabby and not toned at all :(

Have a good time away, be good lol.

Weighed in tonight with DD snd DGD, another 2lbs off.

I am so pleased and whilst it might just be in my head I do feel my arthritis is not so painful and I can walk a bit easier now.

This thread has been so inspiring and I feel motivated to carry on now . I need to lose another 3lbs to get to 11stone and then aim to get to 10stone for my birthday in August.

    evening everyone,

I have had another green day:

Breakfast cereal and milk (hea 1 and heb 1)
    Alpen light (heb2a)
    Apple

Jacket potato, beans and cheddar with salad (hea 2)

    muller light
    banana

Thai green curry and rice 1.5 syns (from fakaway book and gorgeous, quorn not chicken)

quark, with hot choc powder and alpen light (heb2b) + 2 syns

Just checking that it is actually 2 x aplen light for 1 choice of my heb? In the book it says

    Alpen light 1
Alpen light 2, I'm assuming a mis print and 1 bar is for normal not light. Is this correct.

I'm not using as many syns with the green days as the alpen bars are healthy extras!

    Hi everyone

I am so sorry I have not had time to catch up for the last week or so it is a very buy time at work.

Shala Moo I would like to report a 1.5lb LOSS for week6 please

Think that takes me to a 13lb loss so far. Might make a stone before the challenge ends.

Will try and catch up soon. Forgot to say I got my Club 10 this week.

I don't understand it either. It's the same on line, both 1 and 2 Alpen Lights are listed as a HEB. Why would anyone choose one when they can have two? I'd love to know the answer.

That's fantastic. Just 17lbs in 4 months is very doable. I'm sure you'll get there.

Thanks to Mildredd and Macpep, you were both absoutely right. Line drawn under the whole sorry affair, went for a 3 mile walk yesterday which cleared my head a bit and actually helped my back. Stuck to the plan, had chinese last night but had half portion of veg chow mein - this used to be 6 syns but that's changed to 8.5 as far as I can see? Have I got that right does anyone know??

    Today will be green,

B: Weetabix, milk and banana (HEXA and B)
L: Beans on toast or with jacket spud
D: LM veggie sausage (2 syns each) with loads of superfree and some mash and onion gravy (2 syns)

Have a great day folks!!! It's very quiet in here I'm noticing at the moment!!!!xxxxx
