Two words should tell you all you need to know... Wow! and Stuffed!
So our version was a bit different to the recipe above but it gave us our inspriation (I use the word us very loosely as I'm one of those lucky ladies whos hubby does almost all of the cooking, if fact I'm a near disaster in the kitchen! LOL) We did not make up the tomato mixture to spead on the base instead we made a slightly runny tomato puree by adding some passata. Also we did not have any herbs de provence so instead we mixed some chilli and garlic into the potato (it was in a grinder that we got from Aldi a while back). We topped ours with white onion, spring onion, mushrooms and peppers (which we just softened in a dry pan) and also added some ham and cheese of course (though I may have slipped when putting on the cheese) We also simply cooked ours on a normal baking tray sprayed with frylight.
Hope if you decide to try it you enjoy it as much as we did, but allow around an hour and a half from start to finish to cook/prepare and around 5 to 10 minutes to devour it! :rotfl:0 -

I'll come back tomorrow.Stephb1986 wrote: »Tomorrow I'm having an EE day

Hi Steph,
I'm fairly sure only the multigrain Oat so Simple are counted as a HeB, and the syrup one is 6.5 synsIf you have any, substitute the sachet for some ordinary porridge oats, and use milk from your HeA or syn it, as I see you're planning to have cheese for lunch (I do mine with half milk, half water, with sweetener in it, whizzed in the microwave for a minute and a half). Is the cheese reduced fat?
Ensure you have plenty of superfrees with your lunch and dinner, so either have a side salad, pickles or fruit with lunch, and either add plenty of veg to your meatballs sauce, or have a side salad with that.
On EE you just have to ensure 1/3 of your meal is made up of fruit or veg. Some do find that if they have too much fruit it means they don't lose as much. I'm one of those, as I think I am too efficient at converting the sugar, and not at burning it off!
So after a few days away you lot have been jibber-jabbering away as usual. It's taken me forever to catch up. I've been a bit preoccupied with my son, who's not been so good these past couple of days, and is currently taking medication to prepare him for his colonoscopy tomorrow... you can imagine the fun times he's having at the mo, poor thingReally hoping we get some resolution soon, as he's starting to get very down about things now, and I think he's a bit frightened too, as he just wants to know what's wrong with him.
WI was yesterday, and even after the birthday indulgences last week, I managed a -2.5lb loss No idea how I swung that, but grateful all the same. Yesterday's meal plan was good on EE:
B - Danio yogurt (1.5) apple, banana
snack - kiwi fruit
L - snacked on some beef, slice of w/m bread HeB, lighter soft cheese (2), s/f jelly (0.5) mixed red fruit, light anchor aerosol cream (1)
D - sliced beef, oven fries (3), mixed salad
Supper - Highlights hot choc (2)
HeA - milk in teas
Total syns: 10
Today I went over to see a friend who's been bereaved, and ended up staying longer than expected, but felt she needed the support. Subsequently came out ravenous, and still needed to go shopping, so nipped to have a quick coffee and had a snack wrap, which is SO not worth the huge syn count, believe me.
Today's plan: EE
B - Liberte yogurt (1), apple, banana
L - Snack wrap (15 )
D - H/M carbonara: bacon/leeks/mushrooms/garlic soft cheese (2) milk from HeA, pasta
Not bothered with a HeB as I've had calories enough with my lunch. Hey ho, tomorrow's another day.
Lantanna - glad you recognised that the fella wasn't appreciating you enough. I've always said since I've been with my OH, that I'm with him because I want to be, and because he deserves me. It took a long time to get that attitude, but I think it's been a good one to live by.
Hope those feeling under the weather are feeling better soon.
Mrs Christmas - welcome back. Keep posting your meal plans on here, and those in the know will soon point you in the right direction. If find it really helps to see what other's are eating so I can be inspired, and check I'm doing it right too! I do use the SW online food diary most days, as I like that it adds up my syns as I go along, and saves all my favourites. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
