Morning all - still not feeling very well, had a sore throat all last week which developed into a stinking cold over the weekend. I'm not streaming any more but have got the sore throat back again:(.

Didn't keep my syns as low as I'd have liked yesterday and ended up on 13.5 so could have been worse.

    Having a Green day today:

B - magic porridge - haven't even got a banana to have with it! (HEB1)
    L - cheese on toast (HEB2 + HEA1)
D - egg, SW chips, beans

HEA2 will be milk throughout the day in tea.

No idea what syns I'll have yet but will probably have ice lolly again as it seems to soothe my throat - for a while.

Going shopping a bit later as desperately need to get some fruit as DH took the last satsuma to work with him this morning.

Lantanna - live your life to the full, you've shown you are in charge and that you won't just settle for anyone - he has to deserve you.
Thank you - that’s a lovely thing to say. I will try and drum that into my head now J :T

So wasn’t too bad eating wise yesterday - though had more bread than I should have had. Weight watchers though so not going to sweat about it. Went up to the gym last night but didn’t do an awful lot, half an hour on the treadmill and half an hour on the bike. I’m heading on a night out not this Saturday but next and there is a pair of cigarette pants in River Island in a Size 12 I am hoping to squeeze my !!!! into by then.

This blooming back dog will not clear off – I rang the Dr yesterday and they have given me a beta blocker to help with the anxiety. Its like banging my head off a brick wall with them - I just know this is all connected to my periods byt nobody will listen - they just keep asking am I suicidal - eh no I'm freaking well not but I just feel damn dire!!!! Hopefully it will kick in soon – I just feel so harassed, tearful and panicky its just not right at all and I really wish it would clear off! Anyway enough of my drivel but I’m kind of cracking up lol xx :rotfl:

Lantanna, does the gym help? Getting those natural endorphins going? When I have staff who have similar issues, I always recommend exercise and getting out the house, which apologise if sounds patronizing as not intended but had always helped me when I feel overwhelmed. When I lost weight years ago, work was exceptionally stressful, usually I binge but I actually took it out in the gym, which was at that time kept me sane.

So in awe of your weight loss, so hope I can be in your gang by the end of the year..

My kids moan at my old clothes so excuse my ignorance, what are cigarette pants?

I really want to get into a size 12 in these.

Mildredd - I know I'm just so sick of my GP - I never get to see the same one twice and they just fob me off all the time. Sorry you are also not in great spirits - I guess we just have to take each day as it comes and keep fighting xx

    Morning all,

1 lB off for me please

I'm pleased with that as I stayed the same last week, and was convinced I had again this week, but got on my own scales this morning after weigh in last night, and I can definitley see a downward shift. Woop!

Lantanna, I second the trying to get an an actual appointment with the doctor, rather than them fobbing you off. My dad suffered from anxiety and depression for years, so I understand a bit of how you can be feeling. Kick up a fuss if you think it's all linked in with hormones ect, and make them listen.

    Loving the bright trousers!!

  • Hi everyone

So I have been doing this since Friday and it is going really well. I am actually enjoying eating healthily again. I am trying really hard to stay away from the scales as I know mid-week weighing can give false results.

I had got used to having fruit as a sort of dessert after lunch but I think I need to use it throughout the day as snacks now.

Can someone please tell me what "magic porridge" is please
    Lynn x

    Hi Lynn,

the magic porridge is lovely. Use the weight of oats from your healthy option B, and mix in a yoghurt. Leave it in the fridge overnight, and it's done! In fact I don't bother with the overnight thing anymore, just empty my yoghurt in each morning. I alternate flavour every day, so it always tastes a bit different.

I don't actually like my "magic porridge" cold so I do mine a bit differently. I soak the oats in cold water for about 10-15 minutes and then microwave for 2 minutes; pour in a Mullerlight yoghurt and stir well and microwave for another 15 seconds to take the chill of the yoghurt.

    Hi All

Hope you are all well, sorry I have not had time to get on until now. DH was working away from home last week so after work I had to do the kids clubs & I was running about like mad trying to get everything in for the buffet I was cooking for the Christening. I now have a throat infection, snottery beak & sore body :(.

I wasnt eating properly last week due to all that ^^ I didnt eat anything bad, I was just skipping meals, missing out HEB's etc, one night I had dinner at 11.10, a bowl of soup . I was just too busy so I knew I would lose this week. I didnt eat rubbish at the buffet either, was on plan that day, & no alcohol either :T.

SHALA-MOO - STS FOR ME THIS WEEK

I have a charity "Fish supper dance" this Friday, I am not a lover of batter anyway so I will be removing the batter from the fish (my consultant says she wants to see the picture ) :rotfl:& will not be eating all the chips, its a "mini fish supper" we are having. I am determined to get 2.5 off next Monday so will be aiming to get on the cross trainer as soon as I stop aching!

    So EE today

I left my quiche at home that was supposed to be my lunch so my boss is getting me chicken from the supermarket.

B - 1/2 cantaloupe with frozen berries & nat yoghurt
L - Chicken salad, (1 syn for dressing) melon, 2 yellow plums, muller greek mango (0.5 syns)
D - Corned beef, red pepper, red onion quiche (1 syn + HEA), SW chips & Veggies
HEB - 2 x Fruit n Fibre biscuits with a cuppa tonight :D (canot remember which make they are now)

Have a good day everyone, I will try get on after lunch to catch up x
