Hello all!! Happy Birthday TIE, hope you've enjoyed your day. I
hope everyone else is doing ok and a big well done to all of the losers this week.
I've had a manic few days so haven't really had time to post. I'm sticking to plan, although I have missed my HEA today as have no cheese in and don't do milk. But apart from that have been going ok. Even managed to do some walking today!
I'm at a bit of dilemma with my sister and our current sw group, she had a gain this week and held up her hands and said she was just having one of those weeks when all she wanted to do was eat cake!! (She is very honest!) Anyway, she received a text from our consultant that she really took to heart, it was basically saying that if she was not interested in being committed to sw, that the plan will never work for her! I think our consultant is one of those tough love characters, she has great losses in group but I do find her slightly intimidating (which is good for me as it makes me want to do well - iykwim) So this has no got my sisters back up and she wants to change groups
I like my sister being there with me, and we do motivate each other I do enjoy our new group and as I said really feel like this consultant works for me.
Now this is going to sound really silly, but I'm hoping I'm in the running for SOTM all the certificates and stickers really work for me, and I would love to get SOTM as I've worked hard. So Im worried my results won't move with me and I'll have to start again. I know this prob makes me sound like a small child, but I've battled with my weight for years and I love that we get rewarded for our achievements. Its just how I roll :rotfl: so I don't really know what to do. Current group is on Wednesday, and new group would be on the Thursday again.0 -
Good morning everyone. Up early today but feeling tired as I went to bed too late (catching up with Game of Thrones box set).
Today I'm doing a green day as we don't have any meat in the fridge or any more money in the food budget! I've started with an omelette and apple but will need to plan out all the rest later.
Well done to all the losers this week, you are inspiring.
Becks, I would try and persuade your sister to continue in group as you are doing well with the consultant. Maybe your sister can turn what she think of as a negative text into a positive 'push in the right direction', after all, the consultant is right (if a little blunt) - if you don't stick with the plan, you are wasting your time and money going to group.
Got to go and walk the dog now - hope everyone has a great day.Seriously money saving0 -

I love a good curry, never made a veg one before, what did you put in it?
Tazzyb yes, I find that when I drink plenty I lose more weight, I forget to drink some days and have to make a real effort to make sure I drink water or tea or sugar free squash. Downside is, you have to make frequent trips to the loo.
Another good day yesterday. I am determined to go a whole week without little cheats, excuses, extra syns etc, one day at a time. I did have cider last night, only half a bottle though and been looking for the syns, counted it as 8 going by what the nv I found online for it. And I had a crunchie as well, so slightly over my syns but I am counting the 105 over the week so all is good.
I have a busy day ahead, so better get a move on. Have a great day :wave:0 -
Morning all :j
Caught up with you last night when I got home from my weekend away, but it was too late to post and I knew I had WI this morning. Well done to those of you who have reached their target, lost or STS this week. Those of you who are struggling, keep at it, you will get there eventually.
I had a lovely weekend away. Managed to catch up with my younger sister and an old friend as well as spending ooodles of time with my gorgeous grandson. He has grown so much since Christmas! Hen night was really good fun and I didn't miss drinking at all as the entertainment was so good. I tried to stay on plan as much as possible. Luckily the meal was a carvery so I had meat, veg, 2 tiny roast potatoes and half a yorkshire pudding. I also had a tiny piece of chocolate cake, which I thought I would enjoy as I hadn't had any for ages, but tbh I wasn't that fussed.
However, Sunday was another matter. We went for a walk in the park before I headed home and I had a huge bacon sandwich on doorstep white bread. This would have been fine if I had stopped there, however, on the drive home I needed a break after 2 hours so pulled in to a services with the intention of getting a coffee and have a rest as I was so tired. However, 1 chicken salad sandwich, a grab bag of crisps and a family size bag of Twirl pieces later................. Ho hum!!
So, to the weigh in..........
Shala can you please put me down for a 2 3/4 lb loss for week 3 or 4 - lost track!! Obviously all that dancing counteracted my slip! Really delighted with that as it brings me down to just under a stone away from my first big target which is to get down to "normal" BMI
Hope you all have a good week. I'm just off to do a final check of a job application I've been working on for the last week - whatever happened to just submitting your C.V?0 -
Hi all. I'd like to report a 2lb loss for week 4 (I think its week 4, I'm losing track!)
Its been a busy week, so I haven't been as organised as I'd like, but I've been on plan regardless. Online I got my club 10, although I lost 5.5 lbs before I signed up, so I actually achieved it a couple of weeks ago. 2.5lbs to go to have lost 2 stone, so I'm contemplating success express this week to achieve that, and hopefully go down into the 11s.
Becks, your consultant it absolutely right, if your sister doesn't stick to the plan (which does allow for cake), then it won't work. I think you should stick with the class that you are happy in - you can still get support from your sister outwith class. Sell it to her on the basis that this way you'll be able to swap tips from different consultants, so you'll have more information to work with.
But I'd also make the point that her class works for you, and you don't want to move to a class that might not be so good. Its as important for you to be happy with your class as it is for your sister to be happy with hers.0 -

Morning everyone,
Happy Birthday TIE. I hope you are doing well xx
Tazzyb – I definitely find that if I up the fluids I lose more weight. I can tell when I am dehydrated as my skin gets really dry and I probably hold water which leads to a sts etc.:( Drink as much as you can – easier said than done though as I always forget but it does help everything work much better as such.
Becks – Eh What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot believe your consultant sent that to your sister. There is tough love and then there is just plain rude!!! There is a fine line. We all have days were we feel like throwing the towel in and just want to eat all round us – its part of life. Don’t know how on earth that is meant to encourage anyone!! I wouldn’t think that you would lose your history by joining another group. I’m under the impression that you can pay a fiver to take your history with you if you leave and then restart again. I’ve been in 2 groups since I started – and whenever I changed from Monday to Thursday different group and leader my history just came with me.
Mrs Ryan – Slinky imposter – love it J Bet you looked amaze xx:T
Sary – Auntie Flo – needs shot lol. Have had the pleasure of 2 visits this month and it has been hell lol. I did manage to get some housework done yesterday J Not all that needed to be done but some and the black dog is still about but not as much.
Bookworm – Feels great when you get a shock when you need a much smaller size. I still can’t get over being in Size 12 knick knacks lol.
Still haven’t invested in the Size 12 trousers and would really need to like now – I look hideous in my work trousers lol. I am skint though so it isn’t happening this week. I think I’m literally dropping inches by the day.
So just an update with the man. I finished with him last night. My gut was telling me he was just messing me around. I did see him on Saturday night but nothing was discussed as he was half asleep.......................and he is so hot and cold with me and I think I deserve to be treated better. Who knows - maybe I’m not in the right head space at the minute for anything. Anyway its done and dusted and I’m not really interested in talking about it as I am trying not to dwell on it and move on.
Anyway kettles for me tonight and time to focus on getting my mind to a better place and getting to target.

Couldn't believe how many pages there were to read when I got home from my weekend away!! I did read last night but didn't post as was really tired and had stuff I needed to sort out.
I enjoyed the weekend away but completely lost the plot - I'm going to go way over syns this week - think I've probably already had a week's syns and still got until Thursday morning to go. Will try to keep the syns fairly low.
Having an EE day today but there won't really be enough SFs in there as I haven't got much fruit and veg left and need to go shopping but can't go until tomorrow:
B - mushrooms on toast (HEB + 1.5 syns for spread)
L - LO roast chicken, fried up LO potatoes & roasted veg
D - Spanish rice (2 syns for 12.5g of chorizo)
I've got a couple of satsumas I could have if I need something this evening but more likely to have a fruit split lolly (3 syns).

That sounds great, thank you. I want to eat more meatless meals but at a bit of a loss with things like curry.
I read somewhere on here I think that the tin of dahl from Asda is free, so I bought one cause it sounded nice. But what do I do with itJust eat it on its own or throw it in a curry, has anyone tried it?
The sun is shining but it is very cold, brrr. It does make me more energetic and happy though to see the sun, 2 loads of washing outside on the line, kitchen clean, make some meatballs in tomato sauce and chicken piri piri in the oven. Now away to do some paper filing. At least being busy keeps me from nibbling.0 -
Morning..
Becks - i'm afraid i'd have been P'd off at the consultant too so I understand how your sister feels.. there's tough love but the consultant should surely be able to tell by now the people who can take it and the people who can't.. everyone needs talking to in a different way!
lantanna, maybe it's just a time in your life to focus on you.. and your size 12 knick-knacks! :rotfl:
Well i started the day with good intentions but got to work and realised i'd forgotten my breakfastluckily, i have an emergency box of nanna knitted shreddies so i had to make do with them instead!!
so plan EE
B - shreddies, milk (hea, 6:mad:)
L - HM chicken soup, 2 x bread (heb)
T - jacket potato, salad, some sort of meat
S - orange, crisps (6) milk in tea (2:mad:)
I've decided this week i'm going for soup lunches, sleeping properly, 10,000 steps a day and lots of water to see if it makes a dfference to my resolve.
The weekend was a write off so i'm not expecting miracles for weigh in Wednesday but hopefully the week after that will be better.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
