As I'm often at home during the day I deliberately cook extra veg with our supper for lunches. The best bubble & squeak needs mash to bind it together. So, what I had yesterday was mash, carrots, cabbage, peas and fried onions but any veg works. I just stir it all together and then you can either make little patties/cakes from it or just fry it as one big cake. I fry until browned, often frying a few mushrooms or a tomato in the pan first for flavour. You can eat it on it's own but I generally have cold meat and pickles with it.

Thank you = am definitely going to try that!

Thanks for keeping the chart up to date shala. I have just weighed myself and am pleased to report another 1 lb loss.

I have pretty much stuck to meal plan today, but used cheese as my 2nd hexa and had baked apple with mincemeat for pud with a tiny bit of cream. It was lovely. I feel really full this evening, more the I have been on ee. Still got about 10 syns left for the day but dont feel I want or need them right now. However, it will make up for me scoffing a bag of foam bananas last night!

Can anybody help me with the syn value of aldi ready meals please? I have sweet and sour, lasagne and chicken curry in the freezer and dont want them to go to waste.

Can you give me the proper titles of them and I'll check for you, the app is bringing up a few different ones and the syns are very different (eg one sweet and sour is 4.5 syns and another is 11 syns!) so I don't want to tell you the wrong thing Xx

Its simply bistro sweet and sour chicken & simply bistro beef lasagne. I cant find the curry but assume it is from the same range too. Thanks for your help.
