Mountaingirl - having syns is fine, as you say a lot of us do it. Just start the week with 105 but try to use at least 5 a day so you don't feel deprived during the week and then use what you need at the weekend/a meal out or whatever you want to save them for.
No idea how but managed a STS this morning!!! Just hope it doesn't catch up with me next week.
Just realised I've changed my evening meal for tonight as have some LO lentil bolognaise left so will have that instead (have sausages in it 1st time around but obviously none left for leftovers!) so still a Green day.
Have changed my menu plan for tomorrow and will have the mixed bean goulash then instead. We usually have fish of some sort on a Friday but decided that was the best meal to cut out as we'll be in the motorhome and don't really like cooking fish as the smell lingers a bit, doesn't it?

I'm vegetarian and find the Green plan brilliant. I don't eat meat or fish but I love dairy, and the fact that you can eat pasta, rice and potatoes freely is a big plus for me. I like to feel full.
Quorn mince, chicken or beef style pieces and sweedish meatballs are free. The very low fat sausages are free and most of the other Quorn sausages are 1 syn each. The frozen quarter pounds are lush for half a syn each. Linda McCartney Red onion and thyme sausages are also syn free.
Let me know if I can help with anything. Don't forget you get 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs on green.
Welshkitty that's great news that you lost while on holiday!
Sorry not to get back to you before thank you so much for the info, it's very helpful.
Think I will bite the bullet and join a meeting tomorrow0 -
Morning all :j and welcome to the newbies
Well done those of you that have lost or STS, especially WelshKitty for beating your Easter Challenge target :T
Update on yesterday:
Everything stayed on plan, though we had the casserole with a jacket potato and broccoli. Had a pack of Ryvita minis so 5 syns
Today's plan will be another EE
B - frozen berries with FF natural greek yoghurt
S - apple
L - 4 x rye ryvita (HEBx1), FF cottage cheese with chives, WW fromage frais fruit split (0.5 syns), banana and 2x plums
S - orange
D - LO sausage casserole made with Linda McCartney red onion sausages and tonnes of free veg, mashed swede
S - Ryvita minis (HEBx2)
HEA x 1 will be milk in coffees, not sure what 2nd one will be (struggle with this)
Drinks will be green tea and nas squash
Keep up the good work everyone
On EE it's only 1HEa & 1 HEb so unless I've missed a reason why you have 2 of each you're having too many.Mountaingirl wrote: »Oh, I didn't know this so I will make sure I drink all my milk up before the end of the day in future.
Do you have to eat all your syns for the day too or can you 'save' those up? I thought I had seen people posting about saving up for the weekend or for a big night out. At the moment I only seem to have about 5 a day (if I start eating sweet stuff I can't stop so I'm trying to cut it out altogether - damn it's hard!) so I hoped that might compensate if I go over at the weekend with a bit of wine.
Hope you are all having a lovely day
Saving syns is fine although not strictly SWs view but HEs need using on the day. If you are losing weight I'd carry on doing what you're doing but if you start gaining then you can alter it.Thanks for all the input and making me feel welcome. Todays menu for me is.
B - banana, satsuma and Alpen light lemon bar
L - Batchelor beef rice and Mullerlight yogurt with a satsuma
D - Chunky root vegetable hot pot SW style

4 coffee with semi skimmed milk throughout the day and 5 pints of squash
Tich, EAT MORE!!! Nuff said. I would be hungry with just rice and yog, fruit for lunch. There is so much you could have to fill you up. Also not a lot of super frees there. Eat, eat, eat cos you can :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Some fab losses tonight! Well done Xx
Today's Green Day Menu
B - Poached eggs and beans on toast (HEBx2)
L - Riso Gallo Quattro Formagi risotto rice (dry pack made with water) with added peas and sweetcorn.
D - smash pizza topped with veggies and HEA of cheese.
I was given a box of biscuits at Christmas and had thus far refused to open them. I then discovered they go out of date next week so I let my boys open them yesterday. I've had 4 today. I can hear them shouting for me from the cupboard so I'm going to have some fruit and yogurt and I promise not to have any more (tonight) Xx
