Ban the TV Licence

It will be a long time before its banned. The only way to get it banned is we all stand together, and collectively not pay. That wont ever happen.

We are so lucky to have the BBC. Sad that some people don't appreciate it.

Of all the things we pay tax for, this is the one I feel I get most value out of. I'd probably pay it for the Radio alone.

Please OP if you are going to call for a ban on something like the TV License, then please have the decency to give us a propper reason why.

It's an optional tax. Just dump your TV.

So by my maths ( sketchy at best) if there is only one person in the house that's 40p a day.if you don't watch much TV or listen to the radio or use the BBC website that's probably enough money to uum feed your cat?

Now see I reckon its worth it for top gear alone. But you could ban radio for me I would not care. And the BBC website, well if you want news and weather sky news and website is better.

you can listen to all the BBC channels and local ones as well online or on your phone if you got the right app and phone of course :beer:

I think the reason is so obvious I should not need to explian more than I have already stated.

if microsof started charging everyone for the use of recieving the internet, people would not stand for it.

It really is that absurd.

If you don't want to pay then don't, its as simple as that. Just tell the tv license salesmen to do one when they come knocking.

Exactly what I was thinking. When you go into a shop, doesn't part of the price you pay go towards staff pensions? Every company funds its employee pension pots - they have obligations to.
