It's an established poster so I'm not sure that it's a joke

I had it after a bad crossing over the bay of biscay back in 2002, mine only lasted about 10days. Just felt as though I was still on the ferry all the time.

I've had it mildly after going up a boat on the Nile for a day trip! It lasted about a week. Fine crossing the Bay of Biscay and a longer cruise though.

Calm water does it more for me than rough seas. Strange, we are all different though.

As I have tried to explain, I go to a gym for disabled people. My uphill walk was on a very slow inclined treadmill with me fastened into a harness and holding onto a frame. My bike is a reclined bike low to the ground with sides, backrest and seat belt. There is nothing at all wrong with my arms or legs, but my condition is a neurological one which causes total loss of balance, dizzy spells and nausea.

I am genuinely shocked at how nasty some people can be. This not a competition about whose disability is worse.

    Errrr.....No you don't.

I'm genuinely shocked at how blatantly some cheat the system.

To be honest, with that level of exercise being accomplished, you would struggle to get into WRAG let alone Support Group.

And, as for PIP, you are really going to have a job getting that, so I would suggest you start preparing for a loss of income, at some point.

If your husband earns £25'000+ why would you be entitled to any benefits?

I don't think it's right that just because someone is disabled, even if the have a decent household income, they should be entitled to thousands of pounds every year.

Is a pint of milk more expensive for a disabled person?

This shows a distinct lack of understanding for genuinely disabled people, don't drag them into it.

It would obviously reduce one's combined income if you were not able to work. DLA is not means tested for a good reason.

An unemployed person as would a disabled person only receive contributory benefits (except DLA) in these circumstances.

It's like saying someone who is married isn't entitled to a pension in their own right!!

No, a pint of milk remains the same, but many other things are an extra expense, and it costs, as a general rule, more for a disabled person to live comfortably, than a fit and healthy person.

Disability benefits aren't about wealth, best shown as Cameron (£30 million in bank) freely admitted to claiming DLA for his late disabled son.

A couple of disabled MP's claim DLA, which they are fully entitled to do.

They are if they have paid sufficient NIC. Women in particular, but men as well nowadays can obtain a state pension without making any contributions. They rely on their partners contributions to give them a state pension. My wife's SRP has been paid on her own contributions, but when I attain 65 in June it will go up and be based on my contributions.

    Lunacy.......

no wonder the countries swimming in debt.......

I take it that all disabled people lived in squaller before DLA was introduced.
