I have a few size ones. And bean is currently already estimated at 5lb8 with 6 weeks or so to go so I reckon will be thereorthereabouts 9lb anyway
(and yes I know growth scans are not known for accuracy either!)0 -
Nothing much happening here, had quite strong cramps around teatime last night on and off for about 3-4 hours so got excited something was going on, but nope. Had some strong cramps in Tesco this afternoon, but again not coming to anything. Bump is sitting a lot lower, so hoping that means head is engaged. Feeling optimistic something will happen this week as I have felt so many twinges. My parents have moved house today so relieved they're not juggling that with hospital visits etc as it is their first grandchild so I think they will be over in a flash (they live about an hour away).
Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the good weather- I am getting all the bedding and towels done as it so sunny0 -
Ah Penguin hopefully they come to something. When's your next midwife appt?
Snow hope your week passes quickly.
Firebird I've been drinking raspberry tea this last 6 weeks or so, surprised at how much I like it.
Hoping that no news from Vanilla is good news
Aww Sweet that's so cute. Hopefully baby moves soon.
Eventful afternoon here, next to no movements so ended up phoning the midwife unit and getting checked out. Think baby is just sleepy, he did eventually move, and has been on the go ever since. Getting a bit fed up now, a bit emotional. I just want him here now, will be so much easier when he's out.
Fingers crossed for you Penguin0 -
Well bean has just joined in with impressions at the cinema while we watched the alien film.
I mowed the lawn this afternoon. With hindsight, at 33+6, I should have handed that over to OH already but it very much is on his job list now. And we've just done the bins together (and who said romance was dead eh)0 -
Hi all,
Hope you all enjoying this weather.
No baby here! I have been busy painting doors and some skirting, trying to get baby moving, but no joy. Similar to penguin with some cramps and braxton hicks not amounting to much. Increased mucus discharge but no show.
Have midwife on weds and potentially a sweep if I want it, think i will take it!0 -
Fingers crossed for you vanilla, although as my nct group said, there is a queue to stay in! Same for me, midwife and sweep tomorrow afternoon. I'm expecting to be given an induction date of next Wed, but hopefully it won't be needed. Weather is due to heat up again at the end of the week- so it may be labour in a heatwave! And maybe a bank holiday baby? Oh well, they'll always get half term for their birthday.
This afternoons job is to do some baking for the freezer. Felt very emotional this morning listening to the news, think partly as Manchester is our nearest city and I'm feeling so protective over bump- I'm excited to meet him, but mainly I just want to see and touch him so I know he's safe.
April- glad bump is ok, but always worth checking movements out0 -
Aww fingers crossed the sweep gets things started for both of you, Penguin & Vanilla.
Penguin that's understandable, I have a similar feeling just now. I wish I had your attitude. I would love to have the inclination to do some baking.
Got a scan this morning, another reassurance that all is well. Measuring in at about 6 and a half pounds (not taking it as gospel but it's nice to have a rough idea). 11 days to go now. Going to have a walk into town since it's nice and maybe treat myself to a Starbucks
Hope your all well0 -
Hope all is well with everyone. I am starting to get really really uncomfortable now, baby is so low when I sit down normally I feel as though Im crushing her, so have to lean back & the SPD is making walking even the smallest distances very difficult. Fingers and ankles are swollen and my face looks puffy too, still all that aside, I am trying to enjoy what will be the last 24 days of my being pregnant.
Vanilla & Penguin, please do post your experience of the sweep as Im having one next Friday, surprising that I have had 3 children, all late by at least a week, 2 of them induced and yet Ive never been offered one before! I hope you get a 'mean' midwife as was the advice of my consultant, who does a good job0 -
Glad everyone's hanging on in there and keeping busy!
Good luck with the appointments and (possible) sweeps tomorrow Vanilla and PenguinThe midwife says I'll probably be offered one at my next appointment which is on my due date next Friday.
I feel your pain, Lifestartsat40 - I feel like I've got lots of energy, but really swollen hands and feet so I can't do very much. Seeing an osteopath has been an absolute lifesaver for the SPD; I've got one more appointment scheduled before my due date which is just to check my alignment, now most of the pain has gone. Try to enjoy the rest of pregnancy and taking it easy while you can though! I can't wait to meet babyB, but I still think I'm going to miss this phase (and the bump) like crazy.LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Good luck for today Penguin & Vanilla0
