Glad we're not the only ones who need a food bag! Hope you're doing alright cats.

Fingers crossed for clarabell- I think her induction was booked for yesterday wasn't it, but fingers crossed for something earlier
  • Oh dear, sounds like it's a bit of a struggle arbrighton - but flowers from OH always helps!

Penguin - glad to hear that you got the physio referral, and that it's been helping.

I think I'll get some of the raspberry leaf tea and start at about 32 weeks (if it's drinkable!). OH asked last night if it really is just raspberry leaves, as if so, maybe I should just pick some from the garden :rotfl: (no idea!).

Had my 31 weeks appt with the doctor yesterday - total waste of time. I'm pretty sure the heartbeat he found was the placenta, not the baby (sounded too slow!), and the bump measurement now puts me up on the 90th centile, from about 45th 3 weeks ago! However, he reckons bean is head-down, so that's good news (I've found it really hard to tell, from where the movements are! Think I must be feeling elbows...it's clearly got pointy ones!).

Re hospital bag, I'm currently throwing things as I buy/think of them into my normal weekend holdall type thing - was going to include baby stuff in there as well (plus food, obviously).

So glad it's Easter this weekend - only 4 weeks left at work :T I'm still feeling basically fine, though definitely getting tired much earlier in the evening - think 9pm is becoming my new 'start getting ready for bed' time :p

Good point re Clarabell - hopefully it's good news :)

We're doing our own little version of a babymoon this week... We've taken DD to Skegness. We've never been before, but it's actually quite fun.

We've really lucked out on the caravan - by looking at the website, it appears to be superduper deluxe and weve got an ensuite and everything.

However, to make up for this, we are a good mile and a half from the amenities! We walked it the first night and it took over half an hour. Which was slow, but ok - and no stretching painnin my belly like I sometimes get when we walk.

On Tuesday, we took DD to the local theme park and were there for about 10-11 hours... I've still not recovered :o

Yesterday, the two of them went swimming and I sat and read my book. Then we ended up going back into the town and ended up with a free game of bowling. Great fun... but sweet lord, am I paying for it now! :o

I feel SO old! And reading penguins post 're her mum made me laugh... no wonder were classed as geriatric mothers because I really do feel like such an old lady sometimes! :o

I'm currently sat on the beach with bare feet - my OH is a big fan of earthing and insisted that I sit with my shoes off to hopefully help my aches and pains.

I'm a bit scared to drink any raspberry leaf tea considering my daughter was born just over 36 weeks and quite quickly as well - my entire time from my waters breaking to her being born was about 8 hours in total, and from proper contractions starting to her making her appearance couldn't have been more than 2.5 hours. They say second babies tend to come quicker... so I need to leave time to get to the hospital! :rotfl:

I do find water soothing, but don't think I want a water birth.

And with regards the bags, I'm taking one for me with some baby things in - I don't plan on staying in for long! I will have two piles of things at home, just in case though. OH will be able to find things easily!

Loving the Google doc idea - I do have one for my bags and things, but never thought to do it for the other stuff!

Lifestarts - my daughter will be 11 on 4th July :)

Penguin, I actually thought you were quite a bit further on than me, but it's scary to think that were actually closeish because, as you near the end... We're all getting there too!

With work, I'm planning to go right up to the week befor my date (though I planned this last time and ended up almost 4 weeks early and taking booking calls on the way to hospital!) - however, I work from home and my clients are very understanding to the fact that things may have to be moved!

I think I'm going to book out extra time between them all though and they all can't wait to see the baby! :rotfl:

I think I'll pick up some tea this weekend just to have it in the house, can always decide on using it later. My cousin works in holland & barrat so will get to use her discount :)

Vanilla I have 3 weeks after today, but very much at that tired stage now. I get to a certain point in the day where I just don't want to continue and would rather just go home and put my feet up.

Re: hospital bags, I will just be packing a gym bag and maybe a small bag for baby if I can't fit it all into one. Will be getting all that together this weekend including coming home clothes for me. Not sure it would be a wise idea to allow the OH to pick me clothes :rotfl: he probably would do OK, but knowing me it would be better to have it packed myself. Good idea about having a separate bag at home in case we are in longer then we hope. Will pack a spare bag too.

Starting to get quite sore now, phoned the GP this morning to be told a GP won't see me regarding the issue. So silly, called my MW and left a voicemail so hopefully she will call back. Cushion arrived today from Amazon, and I don't know if its making my back/pelvis area worse or not. I think I filled it up too much and its a bit of a struggle to get the air back out. OH surprised me with a pregnancy massage for when he's at work this Saturday so very much looking forward to that.

Hoping that no news from Clara means there is some good news.

Hope you all enjoy the Easter break and take it easy :)

Hoping no news from Clara is good too!!

Thanks Penguin, Cats and everyone re hospital bags. I appreciate I would of learnt at thw NCT course, however had some bad news, they have cancelled :( I was the only person to sign up and no other local courses are suitable for me with dates or timing. They have stopped doing antenatal classes in our area on NHS aswell which is annoying. Its just a video on YouTube now. They luckily still do a breastfeeding class which I am going to go to.

Penguin - glad physio is helping.

April - hope they manage to offer you some help soon and ease the soreness.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Well I've just started the bag for baby at least.

Well until I realised I had precisely zero sleep suits in newborn size. Neither OH or I are small and given I'm having growth scans, I'll have a fair idea of bean's size but will 0-3 swamp?

One pack of newborn ones is probably a good idea eh.

Arbrighton perhaps look for up to 1m? Clara has been in newborn but she's now 7lb 2oz and almost out of them, but we have lots of up to 1m stuff that will last a while - tends to be up to 9 or 10 lb depending on the shop. Asda call it "first size". 0-3 still swamps her bless her.

I'll have a look next week. I thought 0-3 would probably be huge. Makes you wonder why it's called 0-3 really

Next couple of days are for car shopping/ test driving :(

I would wait till closer to your date and buy a pack of newborn - that way, if baby's too big, they should happily exchange for the next size up.

From memory, I would caution against buy lots of clothes, babies are comfiest in their little babygrows and outgrow their clothes REALLY quickly - plus, you'll probably be given loads as gifts.

Also, I meant to say (might have done, can't remember :o ) that I agree with lifestarts. I breastfed my daughter with normal vest tips and things and just pulled them up when she was being fed. Her blankets covered me - even in summer :)
