I've only bought vests and sleep suits, a few in each size, I'm too lazy for anything else TBH but want to know I have a bit.

Yeah, I've two more growth scans to go yet, and while I know they're not accurate, might give me some idea!

Hi all! Sorry I've been MIA!

We have a beautiful baby boy called Corran, born 11/04/17 at 11.36am weighing 7lbs exactly :) We just love him to bits!

Birth was a bit traumatic so I'll try and give the short version lol

Basically my waters broke on Monday afternoon and they asked me to go into maternity assessment as I wasn't contracting. My blood pressure rocketed so they wanted to keep me on Monday night to induce me on Tuesday.

Tuesday morning came and I was started on hormone drip at 10am being 3cm dialated. My labour went rapid and I was fully dialated within 1 hour and pushing on gas and air only! They had recommended an early epidural to keep my blood pressure down but there was no time! My poor wee boy didn't have enough time to turn to come out so they wanted to take me to theatre to try and turn him by hand since he was a bit stuck. He got very distressed though and his heart rate dropped and I was given an emergency C section.

I only got home last night and I am very sore and on a lot of meds but he is here safe and sound and we love him to bits xx

Congrats Clara! Sounds like a bumpy few days, but so glad you are both home. Hope the pain improves soon, and I'm sure you are being well looked after.

Hope everyone has a relaxing Easter weekend. We braved ikea this morning :o thankfully wasn't too bad, but was super busy the time we got out. But we now have nursery furniture and the carpets are being fitted on Wednesday.
  • Congratulations Clara! - Well done & what a lovely name, Hope you are feeling less sore soon & enjoy your little boy xx

Congratulations Clara, even if that does sound like a bit of a hairy entrance to the world for Corran.

OH and I have been to test drive the main contender for my car today. Was sensible and didn't say yes to the admittedly very good deal until we test drive the other for comparison tomorrow.

Thanks everyone! Had a day full of midwife and visitors but none planned for tomorrow so hoping to have a more chilled day with our boy!

DH has been amazing with him and giving me time to rest and recuperate.

His name is actually a place in the west of Scotland and we wanted to keep along those lines since we're Scottish and our nephew has a fairly Scottish name too. I think as a name though it may originate from Ireland and means "Spear Bearer".

Hope everyone has a great easter weekend xxx

Congratulations Clara. Hope you're feeling better and enjoy your chill day today.

I'm 27 weeks today and about to start a new job next week, in the middle of turning the house upside down by having a massive clear out. It seems to be my OH that's got the nesting urge, he's been off this week and has done loads. I've helpfully stayed out the way by sleeping most of the time.

Next plan is decorating the nursery.
