  • She's here! Zoe Lauren. Took two hours after getting to hospital. The before was living hell but once the pushing started it was quick and easy unbelievably. So tired now. Lost a lot of blood. On drips and staying in. But she's fine.
What a day! 6 pounds 8 of gorgeous.

Congratulations Crazy-cat-lady! What a lovely name. You'll have to let us know if you found anything that helped as I'm certainly not looking forward to labour again, I'm just hoping it's relatively quick again.

Had midwife tonight. She answered a few questions and had following on from yesterday's class, including about the vitamin k jab and the placenta jab.

She also showed us around the mlu birthing unit where I am hoping to go, although on the day it will be determined by where has a free pool as I definitely want a pool. Have a list of stuff I need to buy tomorrow for my hospital bag so I can then get that packed. If anyone has any suggestions for items that they found useful during Labour or items they have been recommended that would be great.
  • YAY crazy-cat-lady I'm so pleased it's all over for you!! Hope you are soaking up that new baby smell and getting as much rest as possible :D

I've got my GTT on Friday - it's not til 9:45 so I'm going to be absolutely starving to death by the time it's finished! Hoping to get my next batch of routine bloods taken at the same time though - if the midwife can manage to find a vein this time - I have sneaky blood vessels that like to hide as soon as a needle starts coming towards them! :rotfl:
