Can I ask how to join the fb group please?

Good news con! The scan pics later are often hard to see much because of the lack of space.

My children are refusing to nap today. Toddler is in her room talking to herself and baby is on my lap feeding again because if I put him down he screams. I could have done with a nap but I'll have to wait until hubby is home and toddler has gone to bed now *yawns*

My skin is so dry, patchy and flakey at the moment. I'm sure it is hormones as I do use moisturiser (same one I have always used) but it's just not working anymore. I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing the same thing and if so have you used any amazing miracle cure?

I've always had iffy skin, the Champneys mum to be body butter and stretch mark oil have both really helped. You can get them on the 3 for 2 offer too. I've found that the thicker the cream, so more body butter type products, the better as I used to use garnier lotions or cocoa butter but they stopped working ages back.

Lush - forgot to say, I got the conditioner you recommended and hair is a lot thicker and shinier today! Thanks v much

Glad it's not just me it's helped, I'm loving the positive effect its having on my hair. Finding I need to wash it every two days or so but I'm not minding as each wash has made it better so far!

Mw appointment was fab, really going to miss both my mw and the student that she's had for a while now. Both so lovely and helpful! Baby is head down still but not yet far enough down to be engaged all the time. Birth plan is sorted, finally know how a stretch and sweep works too!

HV went OK, don't know what it is but I just don't like her much. I'm sure I'll warm to her but it may take a while

My HV has been cancelled for tomorrow, not sure if it will get rearranged before baby us here. At least I have a nice tidy house now!!

I don't think I've seen the same HV twice yet! Occasionally at the weighing clinic, but the ones that have come out have been random. You might have more one-to-one care in your area though. Today I had my first post-birth visit with a woman I'd never seen before. Helpfully she turned up on my doorstep over an hour late and asked if we have a cat because she is allergic. We have four and another that lives with us pretty much all the time - had to round them up and shut them outside!

If you really struggle with her longer term, remember that you can request a transfer and also that HV services are voluntary. However, that doesn't mean they will make it easy or accept you saying you don't need them involved. Often best to smile and nod and do the minimum visits to keep them happy.

thought I'd graduate up the threads since I'm 24 weeks tomorrow :) very efficient of me!

could I be added to the list, I'm due 25th June and I'm team pink!

Hello, thank you for adding me to the list! I can't believe I am at the bottom - doesn't actually feel like there is that long to go!

Yay for suspected breech baby being head down Con. My LO was the same last time - midwife thought he was head up for a long time, can remember just how relieved I felt when I was told he was actually in the right position!

If any of you are considering a Tens - I'd highly recommend. I got most of the way through my labour with just that last time. I bought one from ebay and so far it has been through me & 2 friends, might be worth asking friends to see if anyone has one. You need to replace the pads each time, but they are fairly cheap.

Also recommend you get your OH / birth partner to read the instructions before you are actually in labour. Didn't find I had much patience for reading of instructions or (worse) asking me how to do things when it came to it!

I have my 20 week scan on Friday. So excited and nervous at the same time!!

Random question - does anyone know if stretchmark oil prevents stretchmarks as well as reducing the ones that are already there?

I've managed to get away without any stretchmarks so far, but the stretchmark cream has run out now so I only have the nspa stretchmark oil and another bottle of oil left now.

Was going to get OH to use this on me instead, but I didn't know if it works to prevent? Trying desperately to stay as a non stretchmarked belly lol

I'm pretty sure stretch marks are just down to genetics/bad luck or there would be a magic potion and the creator would be a billionaire & no one would have them :)

Having said that if it makes you feel better and perhaps it can lessen them, slap on the cream/oil!

I put it on when I remember. I've got 2 creams & an oil, all presents!

From friends experiences lots of them got them around 39-41 weeks so although I don't have any yet I'm still reckoning I will!

It isn't online anymore according to the sale assistant, but it is in store until they run out. My store (Nottingham) had at least another 10 in, so probably still worth popping in? It was in the Babies R Us section in Toys R Us x

Thanks I work right near there so will pop in :)

Vicky I use soap and glory moisturiser, it works a treat st making dry skin nice and soft x
