    Evening ladies :)
Went for sweep/monitoring at lunchtime, and the registrar was concerned about some minor decelerations in baby's heart rate and really pressed for induction today. As I've been having regular tightenings all day we agreed, went home to get DD packed off to MIL and headed back in. Several hours of monitoring later I eventually got pessary inserted and am being admitted to the ward overnight for more monitoring with a view to breaking my waters in the morning if I haven't gone into labour overnight. Not what I wanted at all, but I also don't want to put baby at risk by waiting any longer as labour doesn't seem to be kicking off by itself and we've waited so long now!
DH has to go home though, and they want to monitor me through the night.

Yay for last day at work Lulu.

Good luck littlemoog, hope things are progressing nicely for you!

Approaching 30 weeks (Thursday). We built our moses basket at the weekend which was a fun challenge as I started it and did it wrong so we fell out. Ha. Our nursery furniture comes in a couple weeks so can't wait to see how we get a long building that!

Started the iron tablets over the weekend and seem to be reacting to them okay so far. I hope they perk me up as I am tired constantly!

Good luck Littlemoog let's hope you go into labour quickly, sounds promising with the tightening! Shame things didn't go to plan but from experience none of it will matter when you see your little one as I'm sure you already know!
  • Good luck LittleMoog, hope everything can be as near perfect as possible for you xx

After numerous phone calls this morning to different units I am now being referred to the physio for my back, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later, fingers crossed.

Hubby has been busy sorting out the nursery it has been stripped and painted, nursery furniture gets delivered on Friday (at least my back means I can't help, which results in no arguments yay)

    Afternoon ladies :)
Edward Malcolm John born this morning at 0937 weighing 7lb13oz. Born by relaxed emcs after labour failed to progress past 3cm after a long night and baby getting distressed with each contraction. Turned out he was back to back with cord tightly around neck, so he could descend and it was getting compressed, so we made the right choice.we got the screen lowered for delivery and skin to skin in theatre.
He's so scrummy, we're over the moon :D DD is coming in later to meet him but we'll be in a couple of days at least as they're monitoring me for a potential infection.
