    Hi Ladies
Just popping on to announce that our yellow bump turned pink on 3rd August, weighing 9lb2oz. We have called her Annabelle Hazel.
I went into labour naturally but unfortunately didn't get my VBAC due to complications.
Annabelle is a very chilled baby and we are all getting plenty of sleep.
    Absolutely besotted :-) xxx
Massice grats!!! Plenty of sleep?! 10 hours a night :rotfl::eek:;)
We are now 16 days old and getting about 2-5hours depending on growth spurts! 2 1.2 the night before last and last night was nearly 5.

    Congratulations Missy!

I'm practising hypnobirthing techniques but keep falling asleep so not sure if it's working or not!
I had this problem. HOwever when it came to labour I went into my own trance state and didn't remember this in the slightest! I had even forgotten any pain relief at all existed.

I can't afford classes so am doing it through books and YouTube. No idea how effective it will be but got nothing to lose!

It's the weirdest thing to explain. IT's like you seperate from yourself. You become a completely different person. I had no concept of time, what was happening around me, who was in the room or anything. I literally did nothing but labour. I didn't even think about anything I just did the job. The last I rememebr was lunch time in the pool - I remmeber odd bits on from there but not in terms of time. And then the baby was born at 9pm. Somehow I lost a whole day?! lol

Fingers crossed it works for me too then, it sounds great :)
  • We bought our 2nd hand pram from eBay a few weeks ago (mama and papa sola) very pleased with it as it also came with loads of extras and the carry cot bit. It did come with a car seat but not happy using it just in case. Was looking at buying a new car seat last night.... How much!!! With an ISO fix base it's going to be about £250!!! What have you guys gone for

We ended up getting a cheap travel system from asda, for £80 in the end!
    It actually looks pretty decent.
We bought a more expensive car seat from an Emma's diary offer that will stay in the car. It is seatbelt fixed though as it will get swapped between cars. We paid £40, reduced down from £180.
The cheap travel system suits us as we plan to use slings etc mainly so no point spending a fortune on a pram as we are so rural here a pram would get ditched, and the car seat that came with it will be ideal for a newborn and our other car seat will last as they get older.

Our thoughts were the same for our travel system, we also hope to go to something more comapact when the bubba is older.

Its the car seat I'm stuck on as obviously safety is important. Did you go for an Isofix base? I think thats more for ease rather than safety.
