  • Hi guys

Got taken into hospital last week at risk of prem labour however all now good and home resting lots.

However I did find out my beautiful bubba is a girl xxxx

Oh and there was me wondering if you were dealing with hip/work dramas. Sorry to hear this, how stressful - assume you are off sick to recover?

    :j for a lovely little girl :D

I love daytime TV. This bodes well I feel.

    Official DFD: Dec 29
    Challenge DFD: July 23
    Debts Cleared: 1/13
    Building EF: £20/£600 3%
  • Well I hope the rest does you good and you don't get bored.

MrsC - are you around? I'm starting to wonder...

    Had flu jab this morning.

Also if anyone is considering a homebirth or worried about waters breaking or bleeding onto mattress or sheets at home post birth, poundland are selling disposable bed mats, 3 in one pack. They are advertised for use for babies but they are massive and would easily accommodate a grown up. Happy thoughts!

  • Hi lilmiss, yes I'm still here! Was at the consultant today and he's quite happy with how things are are my couple of times with reduced movement, he wants to see me again in a couple of weeks though to be on the safe side. I'll be 39+4 then and hoping not to be needing him! Wasn't too impressed by his reaction when I said I'd spoken to the doc about sterilisation, he practically laughed at me as apparently it's common that women say that still my stage of pregnancy. He says we will discuss it later and wasn't interested in that I've been thinking about this for months not just making a spur of the moment decision and I told him the referral should already be in as my doc is fully supportive and he was doing it last Monday.
I hadn't looked at my notes from Thursday so had a look today, was still only 4/5s then. Last night it felt like baby was trying to claw it's way out through my stomach!

Freshstart I hope that you're keeping well, feet up and rest well.

Oh, and there may be another birth iminent but I'm not saying any more than that just now, those of you on the group may already know though!!!

Ha ha! There you are! No there cannot be another birth because then I would be top 3.

So glad to hear all was well at your appointment. Typical patronising medical model. So annoying that still happens. It's something silly like 80-90% of all NHS complaints are communication related. The GP thought I might have had a mw h/v as as I am aiming home birth - ah well.

I have been 1/5, 3/5 and today 2/5 on engaged sense. Fitted as on the walk to the GP he was the highest up I've felt him in quite some time!

  • Morning all ds seems better no waking up last night so that's good n I am getting better if just more tired.

Flu jab tomorrow nipped in yesterday to book n they offered to ring partner surgery n I could go there n then I didn't have time.

Consultant on thur so hopefully will get a c section date without to much chit chat about vbac as will be wasting mine n their time.

Rest of this week n 2 more weeks at work I am now working 5 days but only 6.5hr days rather than 4 days 8.5hrs
  • Glad to hear you and DS are feeling better freebiequeenie.

So apparently mw are sriking on 13/10/14  my due date! Talked to my nct due date twin and we have decided to go for the 9th which is a full moon instead.

Not a squeak from mw re birth plan or home visit pre home birth.

Managed to re-send incorrect matb1 form. GP was not impressed by mw.

Checked hospital bag and made list for DH of what is missing. Still not ready, must get on with jobs!

  • lilmissreading - that's useful to know about the midwife strike - I know someone expecting that week.

Congrats freshstart11 on your baby girl news - hope you're resting up ok.

Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend shorty1978 - relaxing is good for ye!

Congratulations teaandcakeordeath :jYou've chosen beautiful names for your baby girl - Matilda is a nice uncommon name too - I only know one! Rosemary is a lovely name - Rose seems more popular, but I do prefer Rosemary :)

I had a bit of a fainting episode this morning, so will run that past midwife tomorrow at our 28 week appointment - probably just to be expected though!
