Toooldforthis wrote: »Can I have a moan please :-(
I'm fed up ! My feet and legs are swollen I've got 3 months to go and I'm waddling like a pregnant duck and I'm getting married in 5 weeks and there is so much little stuff to do I can't be bothered
Sorry everyone x
Oh my goodness me, does that count as a moan! I think you have been very self controlled. My moans are over much smaller things but much bigger
I know what you mean about the little stuff. i do not recall the run up to my wedding with any fondness. I do not recall the majority of this pg with any fondness either being either tired, sick, leaking or uncomfortable with some symptom.
All I can say for my own wedding and every other bride I know the actual day is lovely. It goes so fast. Chances are something may go wrong (music turned up VERY late on our wedding day) but it didn't matter in the slightest (at the time, we did demand money off afterwards and got it).
Got anyone to delegate to? I love being helpful and would always being willing to be asked. People can say no if they can't - you're no worse off if they say no but a yes could change your job list.
Also you might not even notice the little things on the day. I mostly noticed my husband, ceremony, talking to friends, food arriving hot and on time, dancing my little socks off (latter less likely for you maybe but means more chat time)! Things like place settings and all that sort of little thing really didn't matter on the day.
GOOD LUCK.

I agree with lilmissreading Toooldforthis, any bridesmaids or parents to help out with small stuff? I delegated the cake to my mum, but she kept asking me what I thought of this ribbon, and would I like an extra tier or a cutting bar. I said, mum you're entirely in charge of the cake, just do what you think is best, and she did :A
Hope you've felt more relaxed today loveactually
Hugs for you mr_knight - are you feeling any better now?
27 weeks now, and I'm feeling unable to lift heavy things, and struggling to get out of the car in small spaces. Work have allocated me my own disabled parking space from Monday, which I'm pleased about(9 weeks left at work)
I've slept badly alternate nights this week - that's a habit I'd like to get out of! It's a bit painful to roll over, and I've just started to get calf cramps (and foot cramp this morning). Any tips for cramp? I think someone mentioned pregnancy supplements, but my iron tablets are so strong (200mg) I didn't really want to take any more in the multivit. Now I've just read the pack, I've realised it's actually on 14mg of iron in the multivit, so I guess that's nothing when I'm already taking 200mg.:undecided0 -
Thanks everyone :-)
The only problem is that most of the jobs outstanding I need to do like buy some wedding shoes as all mine dont fit ! My bridesmaids are lovely and have helped as much as possible
Little one has taken to auditioning for strictly I think. It's lovely to feel but can be very uncomfortable !0 -
Cramp/restless legs: tonic water, leg masage from OH, including lymphatic drainage (see youtube) before bed, calf stretches (only work when you're doing them), don't get over tired (easier said than done), salty snack ( handful of almonds meant to be good)Met DH to be 2010

Glad you are feeling better love actually about things. I'm sure everything will be great going forward.
Regarding the leg cramps, I was moaning to the physio about this the other day and she gave some good advice about a lot of people, including myself, when you stretch-out in bed you inadvertently stretch your toes especially when turning over. If you instead stretch your toes up towards your knees (if you see what I mean) and bend your knees when you turn over and also when you get out of bed it might help. Seemed to help with me.
Tooold hope it all goes smoothly for you, time to enjoy the efforts you've put in x
Everyone else hope you're having a good weekend ... 33 weeks for me tomorrow ...eeek! 4 more left at work ...sigh0 -
I have updated my details on the delivered list. My little girl is now 5 weeks old and barely gives me a minute to log on! Wish there was an app for this forum to keep me occupied during night feeds!
She was born by emcs on 24/08 after a failed ecv on 21/08 reduced her movements. We had a rocky start with a stay in scbu with severe jaundice, weighloss and suspected sepsis. Our hospital stay was 9 days but we finally got home and we're gradually settling into parenthood. Xxx

Morning everyone
Been absent over the weekend so just doing a quick catch up.
Sending belated hugs to Loveactually- How are you feeling?
How are the wedding plans going Toooldforthis? Did you manage to get anything sorted over the weekend?
Congrats to TCOD- what a beautiful name.
AFM- lovely relaxing weekend, caught a movie, went out for eats a couple of times - OH is being an absolute superstar at the moment so I'm feeling pretty good. Had a quiet day with bump on Saturday/Sunday AM so was a bit sharper on the monitoring but all back to acrobatics yesterday afternoon and this morning.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.0 -
