It's actually a choice that you can make, to have it or not. I'd say do your own research, and decide if it's right for you. I will not be getting the flu jab (now or ever) but that's down to a personal choice and my own research. I will, however, be getting the whooping cough jab, but not for WC, I'll be getting it for the tetanus booster, which I'm due early next year anyway. For anyone who doesn't know, the WC jab actually has 5 vaccines - Again, do your own research and decide yes or no, it isn't a requirement for being pregnant.
Bit more info on the 5-in-1 WC vaccine: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vaccinations/Pages/5-in-1-infant-dtapipvhib-vaccine.aspx
The infant jab is the same one that's given to pregnant women.

 Island Girl - welcome to the big girls thread. I've had the flu jab previously and found my arm ached and was a bit warm but nothing worse than that.
Lollypops congratulations
View so pleased that you were looked after and even better that she's moved into position too.
Still doesn't feel like I'm off work yet, give me a couple of days though and I'm sure it will lol. I'm just going to try and forget that place and use this time to concentrate on getting myself ready for our little girl to join us and to actually attend some aquanatal classes.
Thanks for the info re washing powder, will just buy whatever is cheapest and use that. Can't use Persil as hubby is allergic to it so don't want to risk a reaction. Our washing machine has a baby care setting so going to read up on what that actually means.
Hubby is currently huffing and puffing in the bedroom shifting around our furniture to make room for the cotbed as where we thought it would fit blocks our wardrobe so it's going next to my side of the bed which will make it interesting tonight.
So many other comments I wanted to reply too but can't remember lol.
AFM I have the midwife tomorrow and possibly the diabetic clinic on Tuesday as my morning readings have been quite high since last Sunday no matter what I eat ie one slice of wholemeal toast gave the same reading as 3 potato cakes??? Seems like eating healthily is bad for me lol. It's actually stressing me out as I think that I'm harming our baby so in a way I'm hoping that they'll put me on metformin which is a weird thing to want but I hope it will take some of the stress away IYKWIM.
OMG eighth on the list - she's staying put for another 6 weeks at least, we've had words and she knows I won't be happy if she comes any earlier unless medically evicted lol.
Hope you're having nice weekends. Hugs to everyone and enjoy the lovely weather.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

Hands up who's had a lazy day!!!!
I've done precisely nothing apart from one load of washing. I've sat on my rear end all day cross stitching and having a well earned rest after a busy week. After about 7 hours of stitching I'm going cross eyed so have given up for today and now having a bounce on my ball.
Off to the doc in the morning for another sick line but first I need to contact hr at work to see if they need it or if they've started my maternity leave. I don't plan on doing too much after that all day again eitherNo longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
MrsC - most well deserved rest ever!
Me and DH had quality time this morning, lunch, into town for some food shopping, free cake and coffee at John Lewis, picked up some other bits and bobs, unpacked, tried to inflate birth pool (motor didn't work so getting that sorted), did packed lunch for DH, had a nap an made dinner. CHilling out now and feel knackered!
We have a small claims court thing tomorrow against a roofer
Wedding was very good. 12.30 kick off and we managed to make it past 10pm so felt very pleased by that. It was a lovely affair, despite the unwanted bump rubbing (much harder to put off drunk people). Champagne toast went down well
View - glad all was well :T
Alioops - sometimes it seems diabetes is a law unto itself. Hope they are able to stabilise it
No opinion on flu jabs I'm afraid.
Laila P - bring it on! Don't think any of us are rushing to queue jump.
Timeflies - we have a broken wardrobe in the baby's room too!
The first of my nct group has had her baby (think she was due 3-5th October).

I think you and I swapped days lilmiss! You've been much more active than me today, especially after a long day for you yesterday, well done!
Re the list. I can't believe how far up I am now! Still wishing it was over but also not at the same time, despite a friend being told that I'm having a September baby and not an October baby by a psychic. can only wait and see I suppose.....No longer ...tobe! little Miss LT was an absolute super star last night, fed at about midnight, then at 4am then at just before 8am!!! Don't expect this to continue this early on but I'm grateful when it does happen, though you would never believe how many times you check just because she hasn't murmured.0

Hi Ladies,
I've finally decided to stop lurking and join the big girls thread. I'm in my 27 week now and baby is due Christmas Eve. We are staying team yellow- first baby for both me and my OH. Can't believe on Wednesday I will be beginning my third trimester.
Wondering if anyone has any tips for restless leg syndrome? It's driving me crazy!!!
Congratulations to all new mums- going to try and add myself to the lists now.0 -
