  • I have to have the flu jab next week have any of you had it? Does it make you feel awful after? I've heard it does but from someone that hasn't had it so thought I'd ask on here.

  • I'm booked in for the 25th for the flu jab, so you might be going too soon for me to tell you island.girl!

OH has broken the wardrobe in the spare room, so that may be the impetus to look for nursery furniture!

Not had flu jab in pregnancy, when did you ladies get offered it? I have had one before when work were doing it for free and was absolutely fine

View glad everything turned out to be OK in the end
I thought once the baby could be felt moving the worrying would stop, but now its another thing to be aware of!!
  • At my last doctors appointment I was told to make an appointment as all pregnant ladies should have it

  • I have the flu jab every year as my work offer it. The one year I didn't have it I ended up getting the flu. It was the most ill I've ever been in my life. It's fine, I found my arm was a lot more achey after the whooping cough jab.
  • alioops78 Yay for last day of work, hope you manage to enjoy a bit of time before you little one arrives.

MrsC Sounds like you have been really busy, I don't know how you manage to fit all this stuff in, aren't you knackered?

Welcome Island.girl and any other new ladies I may have missed as not been on for a bit. I had the flu jab at about 12 weeks, I felt like I had a cold for a couple of days but nothing major.

lilmissreading Hope you enjoyed the wedding!

View Glad everything is OK and yay for head down!

Woohoo I am top of the list! :j:j Very happy about this as those on the fb group will have seen my moany post about being fed up with being pregnant. I really have had enough now with all the aches and pains, swollen feet, sore boobs, constant trips to the loo and just feeling hot all the time. Poor DH has to listen to me moaning about something every day but he's so good bless him.

I had my flu jab in the early days of my pregnancy but didn't find I was really affected in any way. Hope it's ok for you too Island Girl.
  • Laila, yip I am! Today was 5 hours spent at a charity car wash then home to start cooking as we had a pot luck supper at ours for the fire fighters and families. Thankfully it didn't end up either as many as usual coming and they left about 9.30, usually when we introduce alcohol it's a 2am job! I will admit to a glass of wind tonight with dinner. We had chilli and a beef madras and I ate my small portions at the table bouncing on my ball. I'm over full but the heartburn hasn't kicked in yet so hoping that means baby's finally moving from my stomach! Gaviscon beside the bed just incase!

Hoping for a more relaxed day tomorrow.....
