Thank you time flies, I love the orange debenhams dress and I quite like the blue one too. I will bed about 37 weeks pg for the and if I balloon at the end like last time then the size 14 might be needed.
Ali I know what you mean about work. I remember there were three of us pg last time and the other two were bought flowers and I was bought nothing. I was bought things from my dept but I was still upset in my hormonal state
Have fun days mrs c and lilmiss. Also welcome island, Christmas baby, fab pressie0 -
Congrats lollypop, I am impressed with you just having gas and air, not sure if I am that brave!!
Enjoy the wedding littlemiss
Alioops perhaps people are waiting until the baby is born before buying anything? I think in my workplace as it is a school a bunch of flowers may get sent once the baby is born, but anything else is down to individual friendships. In my little group we each normally put in a fiver and now just give the person the cash unless they have specified something. Although it seems impersonal I can now see why people don't buy gifts as it can be difficult to buy something that the person wants and needs.0 -

Congratulations lollypops! Well done with just managing with the gas and tens. Wishing you and yours a very healthy happy new start x
Ali yay for being out of work now. Hoping hubby gets his act together soon for you!
Welcome Islandgirl!
Hi to everyone else x
Bit of eventful night for us, no not what you're thinking! I had mentioned previously that our baby was currently extended breech. I felt her move every night almost clockwork from 7 to midnight (if I was awake that long) with clear defined head/hand movements one side of my bellybutton and leg movements the other side. You could even see my nightdress move with these movements they were that pronounced.
Last night we went out to an early dinner with a friend... I recall thinking driving home hmmm haven't felt her move however maybe due to dinner and chatting distractions I just wasn't aware.
Fast forward a few hours at home and still no movement. Not even a little flutter. Trying not to panic, cold orange juice, lay on left side for 45 mins. Nothing. Tried music played next to where I thought head was and a bright light... nowt.
Leetle bit panicking... trying to stay calm. Just so out of the normal pattern couldn't understand why.
Eventually around midnight I phoned triage. Explained situation and was asked to immediately come in. Hubby and I tried not to panic.
Luckily for us the triage wasn't really busy and we were seen pretty much within 10 minutes. Immediately hooked up to a machine (for 30 minutes) that recorded heartbeat and I had to press a button when I felt movement (I'm sure someone knows the name of this I didn't catch it).
What a relief to hear the galloping little beat! Not a great deal of movement however with the reasonably tight straps across my stomach she did move about.
However, after the 30 minutes the midwife advised that the doctor to see me. Cue a little more panic... it's hard not to!
Lovely young doctor scanned me and advised baby was no longer breech but head down! Correct amount of fluid around baby, again confirmation that the wee one is pink :-)
Reason I hadn't been feeling the movements at normal was due to new positioning and the baby, at nearly 32 weeks, still had enough time to swim around without me feeling everything.
But everything was tickety-boo, got home around 3am.
Can't explain the relief we felt. So glad I rang triage or I would have spent the night in worry panic mode.
Again so incredibly grateful for the amazing (so far and fingers crossed it continues) service we've received from the NHS.
Just thought I'd mention my little story in case anyone has any doubts about movement at all. Better to phone and get home in the wee hours to relief than anything else.0 -
Aw, bless you view, how tense for you - glad all was ok
Congratulations lollypopswater :j
Still not ready to acknowledge I have to give birth too! Santa helps the stork out at Christmas, right? :santa2:0 -
