AFM so sick of work now, really struggling to wake up and be useful plus I find I'm being really irratable with everyone oh and I keep thinking today is Friday.

hope you're ok. I'm sick of work too and have 7 weeks left ha! :-( I'm hoping it goes really quickly for you.

Anyone struggling to sleep? I keep finding a 'dead leg' each time I wake up (on any side) during the night and so it takes a protracted 'turning the ship around' stealing most of the duvet and disturbing the cat event for me to get comfy again :D

As the baby is currently extended breech I keep feeling a very strange feeling very low down that feels like a little hand wriggling around my nether regions... extremely odd!!

    hugs to everyone x
  • Woo! Only working 2 days next week and 3 the week after. Cannot blooming wait but feel relieved to be doing something nonetheless. Makes it all a bit real...

View - my little mr man is head down so been having some odd discomfort in my nether regions which is very odd! No idea why it sometimes seems more painful.

Argh Mrs C, that means with the not updated yet folk that I am top 10?!

Someone asked today how NCT was and who the gobby one was. I had to confess that was me :o

Final class tomorrow, then off to Gloucester for the night and Trowbridge on the way home for final relative visits.

    Good work freebiequeenie!

View - I get a dead arm rather than a dead leg. I see now that pg is a way of adjusting to less sleep. Happy days :D

BTW someone today advised taking arnica for a week pre birth to help with perineum recovery. Anyone else heard of this?

lilmiss, yes I've heard about arnica but wasn't sure when you start taking it. I've bought some so will start taking it a week beforehand.
  • View, I get a dead hip lying on one side for too long and after eventually turning it takes ages to stretch it out again.

Lilmiss, yip I know of 3 births so both you and I would be top 10!!!! Just wondering where everyone is, or rather what was going on at the back end of last year/start of this year as when I came to this thread I was above no 30!

Has my last antenatal today with the health visitor. She gave us a clock face for 24 hour clock and asked us to break down our day roughly the way it is now, then a second for what it will be like as a new parent. I asked if I could just write 'eat sleep s**t repeat' which had them all in stitches. A bit of light relief after my morning spent at the hospital getting a full mot for not feeling much movement for a couple of days.

  • Lordy me. Yes seems very high up the list considering how much longer there is. Guess MSE-rs are too busy saving in December to get busy :rotfl: There appears to be a spate of summer lovin on less than 12 week thread. :p

Sounds like all was well MrsC regards your MOT?

Must look out for arnica. Lemontree where did you get it from?

  • Yip lilmiss, they did measurements, trace on heartbeat, tested urine and blood, growth scan, full on chat with doctor and two students, checks for preeclampsia. Basically you name it they did it. They felt I was measuring a bit under hence the scan and I'm to go back next week for another to make sure all is well.
I'd called them this morning about the lack of movement and I felt I had excessive fluid intake yesterday which isn't too much to worry about unless it continues, I've to keep it below 3 litres a day or it could cause problems.
Totally exhausted after a trying morning.

Congrats to all babies born and all new mums! Hello to all newbies and get well to all those under the weather. also hope all with worries get them sorted.

I know there's a couple that have had babies but I've not moved them to the birth list without their say so :)
  • Hello (again!) everyone, just moving up from the previous thread, having reached 24 weeks today! Very pleased to be officially carrying a baby rather than a foetus. :j This is my first pregnancy and generally going very well. I did have a very tired/faint patch for a few days last week. My midwife just called today with results form my 25 week check up, saying my iron was extraordinarily low, and she's left me some tablets to pick up, so hopefully they'll perk me up a bit.
  • Welcome timeflies. Hope you're keeping well apart from the iron but sounds like they're ontop of that now.
