think I've followed the email properly Daisy, would have also considered stopping on the other group as I've started to get to know folks but the post about the year saying 2013 saying it all made my decision for me. Fair play to the ladies though they have a close bond so it's fair enough, I'm sure we'll end up as close as they are.
t2d they judged I would end up with gestational diabetes when I walked through the door due to my bmi, but because I can't do the gtt I've had to do random weeks of testing 4 times a day, they are hopefully about to back down and accept that just cos I'm big doesn't necessarily mean I will have gd and discharge me from diabetic consultant next week. fingers crossed.

Yes, I thought that was a bit harsh.

Why am I so worried about GTT I wonder? I think it's from a lifetime of being sensitive about my weight... I really should get over it. The baby is the focus now, and I'll focus on weight loss after he is here. Stupid doctors though...

Thanks for setting up the FB group. It's very strange having faces to go with names!

FACEBOOK LADIES- I think the invitations to join the group come through to your email address and DON'T come up as a notification on FB. So you will need to check your emails :)

Had a complex until I read this! Lol.

We were wondering why you hadn't joined! For a while there it was just me, time2deal and the tumbleweeds...

I am worried about the GTT too. I think for two reasons; the first is that I have heard the actual experience is not very pleasant and some people feel really ill, but secondly, I am just scared I will have GD. I would be utterly miserable if I had to restrict my diet and be really careful about things. I also identify with a lifetime of weight sensitivity!

t2d I've gotten a bit narked as well about the rush to judge and their, until recent, absolute refusal to accept that I'm not diabetic, and the surprise in their tone every time they see my sugar readings, given they're so low. it's very frustrating!! it's like when they judge you'll have high cholesterol just because you're large, when once they've done the tests they find that they're actually really low, in fact the 'good' cholesterol is low as well.

Not a lot. A little bit this evening, which is good. Not as much as usual. I am trying not to worry as I think it is not abnormal at this stage!
