plantpot I'm sure it's fine to go away for a few days. I went away last weekend (36 weeks) and totally forgot to take my notes or anything with me- oops!
I really should pack my hospital bag too, I'm a couple of days short of full term so it really is time!
Thanks for setting up the new group daisie0 -

Finally sorted my hospital bag out but that's only cos we are going away for a couple of days to bridlington and taking it with me just incase. Does anyone else think I'm mad going away for a couple of days at 33 weeks? I know the place well and I'm a couple of hours away from sheffield and i could do with the break.
We have planned a week away in a cottage by the sea when I will be 32/33 weeks. Hoping it is all ok! Like you say, think the break will be very needed.
FACEBOOK LADIES- I think the invitations to join the group come through to your email address and DON'T come up as a notification on FB. So you will need to check your emails

Anyway, went to my doctors appointment today. I really find the doctors (as opposed the specialist consultant I normally see) really annoying. He told me that the prematurity clinic were 'clueless' as I clearly had no cervix as I'd had a trachelectomy, and to even talk about cervical length was stupid.
He said 'do you even know what that surgery is?'. I considered smacking him in the face, but decided the more english approach was to smile politely. Last time I saw the doctors there the guy I saw (someone else) had no idea about the type of cerclage I had, and asked if I had it done awake as day surgery. This is a surgery which has me in hospital 3 nights and a 5 inch cut across my tummy.
Anyway, this guy has now decided I am too big and to do a growth scan when I have my GTT at 28 weeks. I think he decided that the moment he saw my chubby self, regardless of how the baby looked. My urine test was clear for sugar and protein. So now I feel fat and rubbish, and unsure of who is really looking after my care as I get further along.
Baby looking good though! Got a quick look.
I'd have wanted to smack him! Probably would have just told him what I thought of him and blamed the 'non English' behaviour on the fact I'm an American! :rotfl:
I'm on the current fb group, as I do technically have a child, I just can't hold her and hug her until I get to heaven. I'm looking forward to joìning a current group though, just so long as it's definitely private! We've decided to tell only DH's parents (my mom knows, is still here and was with me when I tested). I'll have to tell my health trainer next appointment, she was such a big help while I was going through losing Dale. We will also have to tell DH's boss, he's having a bbq at his house this weekend (if the weather holds) and if I'm not drinking, he will definitely notice!0 -
