I thought the same! I've never ever heard that rule! But then I don't go out that often so I thought it was just me!

I don't know anyone it's OH friends unfortunately.

I'm going to go and buy the dress and see what I feel like on Friday I think!

I read everywhere that hair is supposed to get so thick and luxurious when pregnant except mine is falling out and snapping so bad it's so thin I can't even tie it up anymore.

I really don't want to go on Friday I feel so self conscious!

Sweetpotato in my 1st trimester my hair was amazing but at 26+2 it's snapping off really bad. Looks like I have a fringe when I'm not supposed to!

LailaP the nurse did tell me that it was a 4 in 1 injection that they give in pre-school. nhs website says here: Which whooping cough vaccine will I be given?

As there is no whooping cough-only vaccine, the vaccine you'll be given also protects against polio, diphtheria and tetanus. It's called Repevax and is the same as the 4-in-1 vaccine, the pre-school booster, that's routinely given to children before they start school.

sweetpotato I would go in whatever is comfiest and stuff em lol you have a valid excuse your pregnant and more people will take more notice of your bump and keep rubbing it asking aww how long now more than what you are wearing (or was that just my experience lately:D)

    woo hoo congrats Lara!

I'll have to keep a look out for that ice-cream aquamarine monkey might need some when it gets warmer! I find I can manage the teeny weeny kinder bars without it causing too much damage, also holland & barret do sugar free chocolate eclairs and chocolate made with stevia which is acceptable. On the upside I haven't put on a pound in about 4 weeks although little miss is certainly piling on the pounds! Gestational diabetes sucks except for the extra scans!

Oh and its nice to see you over here T2D and peonie and anyone else I missed!

I know the extra scans are great just eaten a bowl of angel delight fingered it had a lower GI than a big bar of galaxy!

    Evening ladies

in regards to birth weight, I have convinced myself I am having a beast of a baby. I was 8lb 9 and my brothers were both over 10lb. My mum was 11lb  Apparently big babies run in my mum side of the family so I am preparing myself for it although at the moment there is no indication of that.

I booked my 28 week MW appointment today and they said it was a double one, what do they usually do? My 24 week was just a wee test, bp and listen to hb.

    25+5
    - more bloods and urine and start measuring and listening to your bump. also may glucose tolerates test if history or at risk of gestational diabetes

I think I must be nesting, I just randomly decided that I needed to clean the washing machine. I've had the drawers out and cleaned them, scrubbed everywhere. I am going to regret that tomorrow I think as I am aching already.

Anyone got any tips for getting black mould off the door seal? I always leave the door open but it still appears! I've tried that Service It stuff too but that won't shift it. Can I use bleach?
    - bleach and old toothbrush I'm majorly nesting too scrub the kitchen floor on hand and knee, weeded garden planted plants, polish wooded furniture and fire irons, hoover, cleaned behind cistern currently in bits on the bathroom floor owing to plumbing issues. want to do the window and oven only hubby has baned me owing to the use of chemicals and ladders!

congratulations Clare and Glimmerofhope, enjoy your cuddles.

feel like is should have been told by now about ante natal classes, was my midwife at 21-22 weeks but she didn't mention anything, the only leaflet I've been given is for hypnobirth but that's too expensive.

had an energy 'filled' day yesterday but spent it all at work, felt like I'd run a marathon by the time I'd gotten home. was pretty tired today and feel like I'm heading downhill, back to last weeks levels really quickly. Just need to get all the work done for next Monday's deadline and I can semi collapse in a heap, will also feel much better once I've got the trip to my outlaws out of the way in 2 weekends time.
have to admit I'm feeling a little bit grumpy with OH today, he was off work yesterday and was supposed to take the cupboards out of the baby's room so we can really get started on it, and when I got home nothing had been done, I did ask him what he had done - just peg out the washing and get it back in again before it rained. He's now promising it will be done on Thursday, but I need to get my sister across to take the cupboards away, which I've organised so there's no blooming excuse. If it doesn't happen then he will find that on Saturday I will start by taking the doors off and will shame him into doing it. grrrr!

    glimmerofhope Congratulations :j:j

    Welcome Whattodonow

I've booked my whooping cough jab for 28 weeks. I read on another forum today that it is also a tetanus jab? Does anyone know if this is true? The reason I asked is that I had a bad reaction to a tetanus jab when I was younger, however I really want the whooping cough jab!
It four things in one jab tetnas, polio, whooping cough and dipthrea
