Congratulations to all the new mummies!
Just got back from a nightshift so tried to catch up with the pages I've missed from being offline for a few days but there's too much!
Can't believe us date triplets are number 9! I'm not ready, it's too soon! :eek:0 -
enforced finishing work Sunshine - made redundant (but not unhappy!!) Will worry about finding a new job in 2015.
right ladies - I need to start buying stuff! Seeing my friend on Tuesday who is going to let me have all of her baby things (including a moses basket and travel system). I should then have a clearer idea. I have successfully bid on a rocking stand for the moses basket on ebay for 99p.....
Have also dug through the few things I have left from my DDs (bearing in mind my youngest is 5) - found a pair of maternity pjs that were worn once in hosp for DD2 so they can go straight into a hospital bag. Must get organised! x
-SamToby, just proves how different things are for everyone. On both my labours - I was in active labour before having any kind of show. Hope all ok!0 -
ooh samtoby that is slightly exciting/worrying! at least you know if she came now she hopefully wouldn't be too tiny. I was watching an old one born every minute (what happened next) last night with my OH and it had a lady on it who had twins at 23 weeks, one sadly passed away but the other one made it and she was absolutely tiny, it was scary to watch!
sunshine I get that exact thing I look down at my belly button sometimes and there is a lump next to it where something is sticking out! makes me laughlast night on the right side I could feel something hard so I said to my boyfriend 'feel here, is this a foot?!' and he was stroking it and she moved it away! it's fascinating but weird
feeling slightly grumpy this weekend as we promised to get the nursery done but precisely nothing has been done apart from buying the paint. I keep saying I will just do it myself but OH said the woodwork (skirting boards etc) needs to be done first which I can't do because it's gloss. so frustrating I don't want to be nagging but its Sunday now! grr.0 -
Oops I've been glossing away all weekend
Is it bad, Fiery? It has been a bit fume-y but I've been wearing rubber gloves and keeping the door open.

aw sorry Lara I'm sure it will be fine I just read it on here http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2531.aspx?CategoryID=54 it says
'However, solvent-based paints and old paintwork (which may contain traces of lead) may pose a greater risk. For this reason, you should avoid using solvent-based paints and stripping old paintwork while you're pregnant.'
however if you've been keeping the window open I'm sure it'll be fine! I'm going to do the emulsioning for the walls as that's water based so my OH says!
I'm eating Easter egg in bed for breakfast, well it is Easter0 -

I still think I have ages to go - maybe at the growth scan next week they can tell me how big baby is and that will give me an idea. Went to a BBQ last night and a few of the ladies had growth scans for their babies..... one lady had a growth scan, was told baby was going to be between 8 and 9lb and was 10lb 7oz
(she came out the sun roof lol)
Can not believe I am 36 weeks!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Hello! had a bit of an unexpected surprise on 17th April.
OH waters broke at 2:30am - exactly 1 month prior to due date.. and at 9:41am after a pretty smooth labour (hypno birthing as planned, sorry for the lack of detail, I am a bloke, lol) we welcomed a little guy ~ Finlay Joseph ~ weighing 5lbs 11oz. He is healthy, just small and seemed to be just very very impatient !!Debt Free 08/08/2014

Oh and he is B-E-A-utiful - looks like his mummy and I have happily spent the last two nights staring at him for hours, can't believe I made this! (My first, forgive the gushing!)Debt Free 08/08/2014
