    Morning all

Congrats polka dot, hope you and little one are well.

I must be the grumpiest person on the planet, I'm well and truly fed up and I'm only 2 days overdue! It's not so much being pregnant it's the fussing, my mum in particular means well but is driving me bananas and practically stalking me - I just want to be left alone in peace and quiet not phoned 3 plus times a day or babysat in person.

Good look to the fellow bolides or those nearly due. I'm on constant red alert for a sign, for something.....anything although don't really know what to be looking for

Sorry to say, I think you are on a loser with that one - it's practically impossible to be heavily pregnant and not feel stalked by mothers / mates / sisters / etc!

My mother's been "passing" and therefore "dropping by" an awful lot more over the past few weeks - and she normally doesn't pass by our flat at all, because we're in central London, and she lives 60 miles away in Kent and my parents have a work-week flat in Greenwich.

And my sisters keep phoning / texting for a chat, to see how I am, etc. And I'm not due until 14th May! Even my Dad has come by after work a couple of time this week, "just to see how you are", although if I actually were to have a pregnancy-related emergency, he'd be as much use as a chocolate teapot.

I remember reading last time I was pregnant that "the only person who gets more unasked-for advice than a pregnant woman is one with a small baby". Pretty much true, I think!

The only thing to do is bear in mind that it's all good motives, they don't want to be annoying, they are just concerned and caring about us.

Awww Debs hope things move soon x

I've had a bit of a bleurgh day, OH with his man-flu meant we have pretty much stayed in these last 2 days. This has resulted in me having lots of time to think and analyse every twinge... the last 48 hours I've had low cramps on and off, backache, and seem to be losing any pattern of movement. So by this morning I was convinced something was up and went to hospital, in tears!! The nearer it gets to my due date the more I worry about him being OK, so got myself in a right state. Anyway, put on a monitor, all fine, but since I've now been there twice worrying about movement they're going to send me for a scan this week to check growth etc.

All the time I was on the monitor, he was kicking away, and now I'm home and resting he's wiggling about! I just have no idea how to stop worrying :( and I've got 8 weeks left yet!

    Hello
Just popping on to check I'm still at the bottom of the list lol!
Does anyone have recommendations for good maternity jeans? The ones I had last time were bootcut which was fine for winter but I want some straight legged / skinny ish ones (haha at the idea of anything actually skinny at the moment)!

Robots (and anyone else worrying about partners getting sent home) I think the best line on my birth plan was that I wanted some time with just OH and new baby as soon after the birth as possible. I think they left us for at least an hour once all the checks had been done. I was at a maternity led unit so that probably helped, but it's worth putting it on there so they can do it if possible. Last time I stayed in for help with feeding, but this time I'm hoping to get home as soon as I can.

Hope everyone is doing well, congratulations Polka dot & to all the bold / nearly due ladies I hope you aren't getting too frustrated, won't be long now xx

I think I have had a show. Just been to the toilet and uh hem there it was! I know this can mean labour is weeks away but came as a bit of a shock! My friend had one at 36 weeks (which I am tomorrow) and baby came at 40!

Hope you ladies are all good. I'm so uncomfortable now, but I think it's because I'm living on the toilet. Lol.

    Xx

congratulations to the new mummys :)

All being well - Ill be having baby in the birth centre and some of you would love this - I would get a double bed and DH to stay in! But really I want to go home asap afterwards - so hoping that I wont need to put that to the test and baby is born first thing in the morning with no complications :)

With DD1 - (hospital) DH was sent home 2 hours after birth as it was early hours of morning.
DD2 - (different birth centre) - DH could have stayed all night in private room on chair etc but he went home to be there for our toddler.

Definitely one of the major differences (in my experience) is the different treatment you receive at a midwife led birth centre.

Im having problems sleeping now - not pain, not worry - just getting up for the loo and cant get back to sleep! So spending part of the night for the last week on the sofa = quite comfy really. Glad Ive finished work as I think Id be struggling by now. Am still measuring 3 weeks under dates - but no concern from my enlightened midwife who has the common sense to understand that my 2 children were only 6lb something so I could be on course for a smallish one again! On previous pregnancies Ive been sent for growth scans by now.

My children are so excited for the Easter Bunny tomorrow! - I love it all too. Planning a family day - lunch at my parents etc and lots of chocolate :) Happy Easter to you all xx

I don't think I am anywhere near yet but shook me up. I have googled and most people seem to loose it a few weeks before so not too worried.

    Happy Easter!

It is normal to worry. Its better to be safe and go in. At least they can tell you all is ok on the monitor. Movement changes as it gets full in there, it becomes more defined limbs than sweeps across your whole belly - or so I thought.

Totally unrelated but does anyone have an idea of who is going to behind Lucy Beales murder in Eastenders?! I have been thinking how clever it could have been done but no idea.....

Aww thanks Samtoby, I just get so overwhelmed with worry! The movements did change from more kicks to more movements a few weeks back, I honestly just think it's all in my head. I had a number of nights where he was having a total all evening disco in there, and as I haven't had that since I've just felt a bit crazed. He definitely still lets me know he's there though, theres a limb or something solid sticking out beside my belly button on a fairly regular basis!

Can imagine that me having a show in 4 weeks time (I'm exactly 4wk behind you) would freak me out totally, google can be a good and bad thing can't it! Hopefully your little one will still stay put a while longer! Don't watch Eastenders so can't help in that department....

Lucky you having finished work sophiasmum, though I can't imagine it being a totally restful time with you having two little ones already! I know what you mean about sleep, not only have I started needing the loo every 3 minutes (it feels like that often!) but also turning over is like moving a painful ten ton weight - especially low down, which the doctor says sounds like SPD/PGP or whatever they call it these days. She confirmed by pressing on the front of my pubic area, which made me jump it blooming hurt!! xx
