  • If it makes you feel any better munchkin people were saying that kind of thing to me for ages and it's only since getting to September roughly I've not had it so much. I guess before September November sounds like a long way off and now I get 'not long then' instead

It's also September that I've had people I hadn't told I was pregnant talk to me about me being pregnant so I guess I passed that threshold of looking so definately pregnant and not fat that it's safe to assume pregnancy

Selement, the break was great thank you, just what we needed. What were the tips for the back pain? I'm not quite there yet (29 weeks tomorrow) but am starting to notice I'm definitely waddling now and getting hip aches too so any advice would be appreciated.

I'm with you on wanting to breast feed but also express so DH can join in too.

Munchkin, try not to let people get to you. I've had days where one person says "oh, you look huge" and ten minutes later someone else says "you're still fairly small aren't you?". The only person you need to listen to is your midwife and if she's happy then tell the others to !!!!!! off! As mu DH puts it - You're growing a human you're not going to fit it into your pocket! Hopefully you feel better today!

  • Thanks. I’ve got my first growth scan on Thursday and gtt test and antenatal class tomorrow so that’s all I can think about at the minute.
Loving watching my belly move around at the minute. Hubby is home at the end of the week after being away for eight weeks so can’t wait for him to be able to feel the kicks for the first time.

She showed us some stretches. Advised on sitting position (I have a bad habit of sitting on a foot which isn't a good position, best to have feet flat on floor, try pillows behind to help you not slump into sofa). Try to have a little wiggle to wake muscles up before moving, pelvic floor clench and relax practice. Let us try support belts but they're not for sitting only standing and walking. I thought it felt helpful but I'm near enough the end I'm not going to bother . Also said get partner to help where possible and if you need to sit then sit!

Had our last appointment and growth scan today. Little dude is weighing in at 6lb 6oz, at 36+5, so looking to come in around the 8lb mark, probably. Next time I visit the hospital I'll probably be in labour!

I feel like I've had so few appointments - I saw the midwife who did my booking in apt today, just bumped into her in the hospital and she asked how I was. Can't believe we're nearly out the other end!!

Hope the GTT and class went well, Munchkin, and good luck on the scan!

    How exciting bosscout.
GTT took ages as the hospital were running an hour late. So I was starving by the time I got to eat.
Antenatal was great. I found it fascinating learning about babies development and how incredible mums and babies bodies are.
Though im knackered now so it’s bake off and the sofa for me tonight.
Baby hasn’t stopped wiggling and kicking which is really nice. Still nervous about the scan Thursday.

Had my first growth scan. All is well, baby is just over the centre line on the growth chart. I was worried that baby was going to be way over. Baby was wiggling loads. Had the gender written down and put in an envelope so that hubby and I can open it and find out when he gets home at the weekend. Still got a feeling it’s a boy.

Congrats on the good growth scan, you're obviously doing a good job growing your tiny human! :)

I wouldn't be able to leave the envelope alone and wait! You must have some strong will power. Come back and let us know what it says and congratulations either way.

Oooh how exciting to have the envelope to open!

Glad the scan went well, my boy has been just under the 50th centile all the way, still estimated at 8lb on his due date though!!

Have a great weekend, and let us know the contents of the envelope - if you want to! :D
