Yay congratulations Penguin, I'm glad that overall you had a good induction experience :)

I've seen the midwife this morning and now at 3/5ths engaged (2/5ths palpable) although I know it doesn't mean things will be imminent I'm hoping it goes that way haha. Blood pressure and everything else looking good, seeing her again in 2wks - can't believe i'll be 38 by then
Have a good day everyone, hope it's not as muggy with you all as it is here!!
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Yes definitely not the induction experience I was dreading. Was just so grateful to dodge the drip! Would have opted for an epidural if that had been the case I was so uncomfortable with the monitoring equipment on. Baby has passed all his tests today, so we're going home once my notes are written up :D he is so beautiful and with every second of pain and waiting
  • Congratulations Penguingirl, glad everything went smoothly for you. Its true, you do forget all the time you spend waiting and feeling impatient the minute they are born! Enjoy your little newborn x

Baby snow has been 3/5ths engaged for 5.5 weeks now!! Keep hoping it means I'll be early but no sign yet...

Omg newthrift I remember that feeling! Not quite the same but my dads 60th party was 2 weeks after due date - we expected to be taking a c.2 week old baby and instead she was 4 days!!

Congratulations Vanilla, Austin is a lovely name. Sorry the birth wasn't as you planned but i am glad to hear your both doing well and home.

Penguin, congratulations. That sounds like my ideal birth, I bet the pool worked wonders. Glad to hear that both you and baby are looking to get home today.

How did your sweep go Lifestarts?

Sweet like you, bump has been engaged for weeks now and unfortunately nothing. I was so hoping it would mean he would be early but nothing so far. Although if he comes before midnight I guess he could still be classed as early ha

Hope everyone else is doing well.

OH's dad has booked himself for a visit 2 weeks after due date (they don't live in the UK so no wiggle room) so hopefully bean will not be hanging on til then!

Tired today- despite sleeping better lately, i've just had a proper nap. In bed. And not a peep out of the dogs (just started to be a bit suspicious as I woke up TBH!)
