Oh wow, it's all happening! Can't believe it's already your due date tomorrow april87! Just after 2 babies have arrived as well. It's all quiet here. No more periods of tightenings (presumably Braxton Hicks) for me or much discomfort. Got my younger cousin staying this weekend which is nice. About to start on tonight's dinner which I'll be making lots of and will freeze some for the early days when we don't want to cook... planning the same tomorrow as well. And been into town to get the last 3-4 bits for hospital bag so that's 100% sorted now.
Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.
Enjoying sending hundreds of pounds a month to savings rather than debt repayment!

Penguin - so glad that Baby J has made his safe arrival - and that you're able to get home!

I've been having tightenings and cramps all last night and today but it's all come to nothing.

I had a new client today and it turned out that she was a reflexologist. She promised to return and 'prod my ankles' if I went overdue! I don't think there is any shifting this one though - I can genuinely believe that I'm still going to be here until 26th June :(

April - fingers crossed little one comes soon!

we're off to another wedding tomorrow then family 40th party on sunday. Hoping to hear more news when we get back.

This is the last weekend of things for other people though- OH has mates coming up next weekend but I'll potter about and ignore them unless we need to chuck them out swiftly!

More or less sorted the dogminding plan for beanarrival yesterday. Just need to finalise a couple of logistics, write up what they eat etc and make sure the right people are on standby on the right days as it's got to take account of daycare on their holidays, friends being away and my parents being able to feed/ sit with but not necessarily walk the bigger one

Also, if anyone is after any mattress protection, pets at home have a pack of 7 puppy training pads for £1.99... :o

I've just ordered a mattress protector, but these could be a good addition. We have a super king size bed and I don't fancy forking out for a new mattress if my waters break on it!

Congratulations to Vanilla and Penguin - I've skimmed your posts as I'm hypnobirthing and not supposed to read or hear birth stories, so I hope everyone is well and is recovering as planned.

6 weeks to go for me, still haven't packed my hospital bag, but the nursery is pretty much done (even though little one won't be in there for 6 months).

Arbrighton enjoy the wedding! I have two coming up before due date, and I'm hoping I'm not too tired and in pain by then.

April fingers crossed for an on-time arrival!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.
    Congrats Penguin!

Baby Austin lost 11% of birth weight and re weighed today after two days of 3 hourly feeds and he is down to 8%, midwife was pleased.
I have the health visitor breast specialist ringing me Monday so I will ask about checking latch. At the hospital the specialist and midwifes seemed to think he didn't have tongue tie but I will seek more advice.
Have been expressing some bottles to relieve the pressure after milk coming in, and has helped give the nipples a rest!
  • April - I had the sweep yesterday and my god was it painful - she did warn me that she didn't see the point of a half hearted sweep though. I am 1.5cm dilated, but my cervix is still quite thick apparently - I'm having some light bleeding but not much else, despite going into town this morning and walking about for 2 hours. Got another sweep next Thursday but just resigned to the fact that I'll probably be induced on the 16th June - So only 13 days to go which isn't so bad.

Wedding and then family BBQ today were lovely (although very very British weather this afternoon!)

Met new babies of two of OH cousins and plenty of cuddles with 16 week nephew. OH more successful at keeping nephew calm though- his theory being that if he was getting a bit hungry , I might smell a bit like I should be able to solve it.... He had a point
Oh, his dad and brother were all on go chasing 2yold nephew too, who'd managed to raid the sweetie jars, eat cake and eat icecream. But did then at least sleep through to 9am this morning apparently ready to start again at the BBQ
Good to see OH dad too, who's back from abroad before a work/ family trip (not us, this time!!) to Oz.

Vanilla glad to hear that you will be seeing someone today to check on baby Austin's latch. Hope you guys are doing well.

Penguin, hope you and baby J are doing well.

Lifestart that's unfortunate. You never know by Thursday you could be ready to go. A girl from my NCT class had 2 failed sweeps and another one Saturday just passed which was more successful. Shes further along now, and fingers crossed won't need her induction tomorrow.

Sweet I've looked into a reflexologist now, but there doesn't seem to be many of them around up here. Messaged one and still waiting to hear back. Definitely worth doing from what I've heard. You would think with a large group of us, at least one of us would go early, so you never know.

Still no baby from me. Been getting period type cramps for days, which I believe is early labour but still no more convinced. Baby is going to just faff about like the OH I'm convinced. Sweep tomorrow, so if it comes to it I hope my cervix is in a position that it helps. OH feels its all a bit of an anti-climax which I get as I feel exactly the same.

Glad to hear that all is well with everyone :)
