I'm having the opposite problem with my measurements - although the midwife hasn't said that she's concerned. On the chart I was tracking 95th centile from 24-33 weeks but then at 35 weeks it was 90th and at 37 weeks 80th. But she only measures to the nearest centimetre which makes me assume it's all margin of error. At 33 weeks measurement was 34cm, then 35 weeks 35cm and 37w 36cm. Seeing midwife again tomorrow (not sure why but last week she booked in to see me this week and next...) so we'll see if anything's changed!
In other news is anyone else at this stage struggling to distinguish between movements and Braxton Hicks? All my movements now feel like baby is trying to enlarge uterus, as limbs are already close to surface I guess, not much room for kicks... and then sometimes the bump seems to tighten but it's really hard to tell the difference! Either way I am feeling a lot more twinges of one sort or another... barely get a break now! Glad I've finished work and can relax.Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! I still feel kicks, but also sort of stretches, when I often see bump moving
B-H still just feel like bump going hard or like elastic pulling out from belly button all over0 -
Firebird hopefully your wait isn't too long.
Sweet hopefully your midwife goes well today. She may decide to check you out today/even give you a sweep.
Oh Penguin thats so unfair. You would think that BIL & SIL would know better. Thanks for the tip on the visitors, will definitely bare that in mind. I think I'll just lock the door and turn off the buzzer :rotfl: I've heard so many good things about BF support groups will have them on standby. Glad you guys survived your first outing. I think that once that hurdle is done with I do believe it gets easier.
Snow fingers crossed for your appt. My bump has always measured on the small side, and even with the growth scans, there has not been much concern.
Sweep yesterday. A tad uncomfortable but good news I am a few cm dilated and cervix is very thin, just a bit tucked behind baby still. She said she would be surprised if baby doesn't make an appearance soon. Have been quite sore since, and definitely getting contractions. Made my way to a NCT Sling meeting this morning, and managed to hire a Caboo for £10 for 8 weeks so that will def come in handy. MW also said she would call me today with an induction date today, but I am going to ask about a second sweep before going to an induction. Just patiently waiting on my ball now, and getting out now that the rain has finally stopped.
Hope everyone is well, and the next time I log in I will have some better news0 -
Well after last night's post re confusion over movements, I had my first pregnancy panic and with fewer twinges/movements than I've been feeling lately, went into the hospital for monitoring. Heartbeat was fine and about 20 mins in after vigorous bump jiggling by the midwife, baby woke up. Such a relief!!!
Got the community midwife for routine appointment later today anyway but was in a serious tizz this morning after a very quiet night so glad I went for the reassurance.
Thanks for the explanation of BH feeling arbrighton. Annoyingly a lot of the baby's kicks/rolls/pushes are right at my belly button so still not sure if I'll be able to tell the difference. I may not be having any and it's all fetal movement, who knows...
38 weeks today

Having a quiet day today in the hope of surviving last two tutoring sessions tonight since my dinner didn't agree with me last night and I threw up. First sickness in whole pregnancy. Fortunately just the once but not surprisingly didn't sleep too well after and have managed a piece of toast and a couple of biscuits today.
Bit more of a stock the freezer food shop done now although I need to sort things between the kitchen freezer and the chest freezer in the garage and my broad beans have gone bezerk in the garden so they all need shelling and freezing.
Had said lets have dinner and cinema to OH for tomorrow night, then remembered I have a rowing meeting and very much doubt I'll feel up to it tonight (we have a mon-thurs food voucher, 40% off but it's good for next week too)
On verge of tears currently, I think just a bit tired and anxious.0 -
Penguin, that's so weird about your names!! We weren't going to have a middle name, but he is to be named for my late FIL. That will probably make MIL cry though
Arbrighton, I hope you feel better today. Being sick is awful at the best of times, but when you're bigger than normal and tired already, it's even worse
Oh god, snow! The little sods know how to keep us on our toes even now, don't they?Glad everything is well!
Any news yet, april?
Still nothing here but midwife has said she will phone on Monday for a sweep if she can manage it on the way home and, worst ways, I'll have one on Tuesday. Induction has been set (and apparently has been for some time) for 24th June.0 -
Right, tutoring done for this academic year so need to get my maternity allowance confirmation sent off to DWP and try to put my feet up - I'm on maternity leave as much as you can be when you're self employed and do very very few hours0

Great stuff arbrighton. Welcome to maternity leave! Pleasantly surprised how fast the waiting game is going for me - been off for a week now and it's flown by!
Obviously baby has been super active since this morning... having a lie in??Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.

LIE IN? Wot is this?
I slept in this morning a bit, having been poorly last night, but in the back of my mind, I always know the dogs need their walk and I tend to wake with the birds even if I doze off again0
