He's gay, she knows he's gay, even if she did fancy him do you think she would have so little respect for either him or herself as to want to have sex with him?

If he's going to try anything with a girl it's not going to be a girl he's openly gay with, it's more likely to be someone that doesn't know.

It's obvious you don't trust either of them, so better just to stick with what you have already decided, he can't stay over because he is a boy, the fact he is gay is irrelevant to you.

Doesn't mean anything will ever happen, that bit I understand. Just because he is gay doesn't mean he may never ever try anything with a girl either.

You work in nursing, you must gave gay male friends, I bet you don't think of them in a sexual way at all do you? Your daughter won't either.

No, I don't, although I have eyes and I do think they are good looking guys! But no, not in a sexual way. But then again I am a 40 year old woman, not a hormone filled confused 14 year old.

Well to be honest I dont understand why you seem so sure that your daughter and this gay male friend would experiment sexually with one another.

My point was, just because hes male and shes straight doesnt mean she wants to automatically do naughty stuff with him, for experimentation reasons or not.

Has your daughter ever given you any indication that she fancies this boy? Hormones or no hormones, some teens can and do wait to experiment or sleep with someone that they are actually sexually attracted to and not just because they could.

I don't think it automatically. Just that it's a possibility.

The bottom line is, you trust your daughter until she gives you reason not to, then you review the situation. Just because you are concerned that something might happen doesnt mean it will.
