How have you got everything so cheap? A cot for £6 - amazing!

Ooops changing table was £36. It and the cot are both white so look like we bought them together!

That's interesting. I had a very odd ripply, bubbly feeling very low down on Sunday morning but was only 14 weeks on Monday. I've not felt it since and wasn't sure if it was wind. Speaking of which I am on the liquorice treatment for my own issues as I can't stand prunes so not sure. Imagine a standard 200ml glass would be sufficient. Do you drink coffee? If it is very bad I sometimes have a proper caffeinated cup to get things moving!

Well prune juice has failed me so I may have to go down the coffee route :rotfl:

Prune juice morning and evening helps. For a more urgent problem actual prunes are better - I have the tinned ones in ssyrup. They taste pretty sickly sweet but I think the combination of syrup and prune seems to help.

Sadly nothing seems to work terribly fast! Good luck.

Wow lilmiss, you have got some real bargains. It must be because you are down South? Up here in the grim North everyone is all over eBay, never such bargains to be had (that I find anyway).

I missed out on this nursery set by £5 today! I only wanted the wardrobe and drawers as I have a cot but outbid by £5 :(

I was also going to buy this last week:

Found a code on HUKD for £100 off furniture, got all excited until I read it had expired 2 days before... I would not have minded paying £450 but can not bring myself to now knowing I could have had it £100 cheaper lol.

My hubby decorated the nursery last week so all we need is furniture and a baby :)

I agree on the coffee lilmiss, I switched to decaf after my BFP but if I a bit blocked a full caff in the morning gets things moving :)

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but Aldi has a baby event on the 24th x
  • for all those constipated id just get yourself to a chemist and get some lactulose, it was recommended by my midwife and I know quite a few pregnant ladies who've used it, I just had a spoonful with my tea every day and it really helps :)

I've been given lactulose. 20ml morning and night, really does work.

If things get bad get some movicol from gp. Safe to use in pregnancy.

    Hope the coffee worked Laila!

After feeling only occasional wriggles over the last couple of weeks (usually when trying to get to sleep) baby has spent all day poking and prodding me. Quiet distracting when trying to work! I'm sure i'll get used to it soon :)
  • Right lactulose. Good to think of a back up. Also getting bored of liquorice...

Laila - thanks for the Aldi heads up, I did not know.

Jen - this could be a valid theory. The lady selling the buggy hadn't been able to GIVE it away as all her family and friends wanted to buy new. We were the only bidders.

Also today by post we have had arrive 10 bibs for £4.78, £70 worth of mat clothes (4 dresses, 7 trousers and leggings, 3 skirts and 21 tops), 4 vests and 6 sleepsuits for £7.36, plus picking some last bits up tomorrow and expecting a final delivery of reusable nappies (his idea) on Tuesday. Then I am out of ebay bidding for a bit. Oh, and mil and fil went to pick up a baby bath yesterday as well.

Second day in a row - no gagging when brushing teeth!

  • *runs off to ebay and curses people in merseyside for bumping up the prices...* I want some bargains! Lol. The bargains I thought I got now don't seem all that bargainous....
