Hooray Danielley another blue!!!! Hope your meeting goes well tomorrow.
The more observant of you will also notice that the date for my 20 week scan has been put back by a week. I actually am relieved - discussed it with midwife this morning and she rearranged it for me. It gives another week for wound to heal and for me to face the ~30min journey to hospital!!! I also had my stitches out today (District Nurse came round) - feels really weird - hoping I'll be able to sleep on my side again now instead of my back!
Midwife came round to my house for my 16wk apt (even though I'm 18 weeks today! - obviously the operation kind of took precedent!) All blood results are normal and good etc so that was a relief, BP normal, urine normal. After all the "unusual" stuff that's been happening it's nice to hear that everything else appears to be "boringly normal" lol!Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Congratulations Danielley, another boy on the list!
Glad you're getting a bit of normality now Aunty Pickle!0 -
Congratulations Danielley

Hi janed and welcome!
I'm really pleased everything looked ok on the scan - must have been quite a worrying time for you. Hope all goes well for you. Have you been feeling ok symptoms-wise?Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -

Hi There Aunty - Pickle (great username!), I think you get to beat most of us on worrying times recently, I've been keeping tabs on what has been happening to you - I hope you are starting to feel a lot better now.
Symptoms wise I've been pretty good, nauseous on and off most days but nothing too bad and haven't been sick at all thankfully otherwise I feel fairly normal, It's everyone else who keeps nagging at me to slow down !0 -
(just thought I'd post something as we'd dropped down to nearly off the 2nd page!!!)
I sent an email from "baby" to "Grandma" (my mum) saying how much baby was looking forward to meeting her next year!
Mum sent a reply this morning saying how she was also looking forward to meeting baby who was already much loved!
awwww! :smileyheaRock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -

Hi everyone
Sorry I’ve been quiet, I’ve been distracted! I had this week off work sick – I told my boss I’m full of cold but really I just felt really stressed by work. I was still doing a lot of work for the role I didn’t get and it was really bugging me, I was struggling to get everything done and worrying about it in the evenings and weekends, so some time away has been good for me. Plus I know my boss has had to step up and get some of the work done. Naughty, but good for me and baby so for the best!
So I’ve been shopping instead of working! I bought quite a few pink things from Asda, M&S and eBay, but then thought I don’t want her only to wear pink so I bought a cute red heart jumper from Morrisons and some jeggings, and I’m waiting for an order from Mamas and Papas. Oh but today I’ve won some pink baby Converse on eBay! DH says I have to go back to work as we just can’t afford for me to shop all day!
Re maternity leave – I’m pretty sure I’m going to go really really early; I think I’m going to finish at the end of the year. I have two weeks annual leave which I’m going to take at the beginning of January then start maternity leave in the middle of January at 30 weeks. After the problems I’ve had in the past it’s just really important to me to put baby first. I hope I’ll be induced week commencing 9th March at 37 weeks+ and I hope I’ll be able to take a full year off so no work in 2015! I’ve not told work yet as I’ve not got my MATB1 – anyone who’s had their 20 week scan, did you get yours at the scan appointment?
Re names – do you ladies tell people names that you like? Everyone at my work has been asking about names since I told them baby is a girl but I don’t want to give away my favourites as I want to announce the name when baby arrives! Maybe I should have some decoy names ready?!
Princess Kate – How are you feeling now? I hope the headaches are subsiding. I’m sure I read somewhere that headaches are to do with the baby’s hormones kicking in and conflicting with yours, so it’s just a matter of time til that settles down/your body gets used to it.
Carrot34 – Nice to see you backAnd congratulations on being double team pink too! I’m sure it won’t be long til you feel them kicking you and each other no doubt!
Bubblepops – Congrats on being team pink too! Sounds like your little lady is going to be lots of fun! Sorry your Mamas and Papas delivery man was rubbish, but more importantly what were you buying??!
Aunty-Pickle – Glad to hear all went well with your op and you’re recovering well! Hope your OH is still looking after you too? Thanks for updating the list regularly!
Missymoo – My baby is definitely more active in the evenings too. I like to think she’s not a morning person like me – I’m much more of a night owl!
Pington – Is it your 4d scan soon? Was it you who was getting married before your little ones arrive? I just remembered that there was a separate thread about it a little while back! Sorry if I have that wrong!
Always_Alone – Congratulations on being team blue! I’m sure your son will love having a little brother once he’s here!
Danielley – Congrats on being team blue! But sorry to hear about the rubbish comments at work. Did you complain about that? How ridiculous and insulting to suggest you’d get pregnant to avoid a project at work – I think a lifetime’s responsibility of being a parent is just a bit more significant. Ooo I’m getting annoyed for you!
Milly – Hi, how are you getting on? What happened about the potential job opportunity at your work? I remember we talked about it a few weeks ago when I was going on about my job all the time! Have you got a date for your 20 week scan?
Jane and Jedi – Hello and welcome to the 12-24 weeks threads! Time seems to fly by on here but I think that’s a good thing!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
