Eventually got hold midwife today n she hadn't rung me back as message she got was could she refer me to physio so she did n the lady who answers phone would have known if she checked records she said based on job I do she trusted I knew what treatment was needed so went ahead n did as I requested.

3wk wait n should get appointment for group session which is no use to me n then you can request an individual appointment if exercises don't work for u after so many wks last time I spoke to physio n she agreed I needed treatment n booked me straight in so hoping that happens this time.

Need an aquanatal class one I did last time was near work in morning so went in work time but no longer runs nearest class is 20mins from home at 7pm and physically after work I cannot go anywhere going to hunt for a daytime one

Just turning myself yellow, as OH wants a Christmas surprise. I rang the hospital about my 20 week scan date, they said I'll hear in 3 weeks - you lot all seem to have scan dates given to you much earlier!

Congrats teaandcakeaddict on your news - how lovely to be expecting twins:j

My sickness has really eased up the last couple of days, but I've been having lots of househunting stress. Statutory maternity pay:mad: - our household take home income is going to be halved over the year that I'm on maternity leave, so I'm really reluctant to sign up for a mortgage & council tax level that means we'll be spending more than we earn next year. I've never spent more than I've earnt, and as a MSer, I think the idea would have me awake at night worrying about our finances. So we're looking at a couple of cheaper houses, but then I think, why pay a huge stack of money for a very slightly bigger house? Maybe we'll stay put in our tiny home, and just try not to buy any baby stuff!

If I could believe it was just a drop in income for one year, I'd be ok with it, but then there's childcare costs/drop in income to take care of our own child - we're really going to have to make cutbacks.

Ach, first world problems eh? Me and OH and bump are doing fine, so I need to stop grizzling!

Can you try living off one wage until you go on maternity leave and have that money as a bit of a buffer for while you are off? Once baby is here get husband to sign up to childcare vouchers they are tax free salary sacrifice and can build up small stash before going back to work you can start yours when you go back. All childminder n nursery take them and either will want a deposit and mth in advance.

Probably just register on line at bounty and emma's diary. All the money off vouchers are in those packs. X

with the Emma's diary, if I remember correctly you follow an email link, or just your log in on the system and print out your Argos vouchers. Good luck ladies.

I've been onto Emma's Diary, thanks for this. Little too almost 'spammy' for me but there are some good vouchers on it so thanks all.

Couldn't find "bounty" but will do a better search when I'm at home.

Cheers lovelies hope you're all having a fab day... I cannot wait for the weekend... this little girl it seems is sapping all my energy this week! :D

    Yay for twins Teaandcake!!

Fresh - I have had no symptoms at any point. Feel I am constantly worrying, and have decided this is the main symptom of pregnancy.

Runmichelle - I am still ignoring the end result, 16 week midwife appointment next week and hoping they don't ask about birth plans etc or anything that far ahead. Definitely in denial!!

On the discussion of bounty packs and Emma's diary, have only just got round to filling in and printing out vouchers.

I thought it was mentioned by someone that certain places are better to go than others - for Bounty I have an Asda, Boots or Superdrug nearby - anyone know which gives the best freebies?

Also for Emma's diary I have printed 3 vouchers - the mum to be, bump to baby and new family. Can you collect these all at once or at you meant to stagger it? Again is Boots or Argos best?

How is everyone's bump's doing? I am 16 weeks today and was told I don't look pregnant. I definitely feel I have a bump, but feel less bloated than before, I bought maternity trousers as my old work ones were too tight but now these are loose. Is this normal?
  • *delurking* Tia, i'm constantly hoicking my mat pants up (29+6). They fit me fine during first trimester when I had the worst of the bloating. I'm sure bump will fill your pants out again soon. x :)
