Aww a little girl congratulations.

Hope you are feeling better sew it. I do send my sympathies.....I have suffered with sickness and diarrhoea for lots of this pregnancy. Not nice.

I am off to research this nub theory which I hadn't heard of at all. Interesting anyway.

Can't help you on the IVF placenta question and I think the IVF ladies have all moved up to the big girls thread.

You're definitely not the only one having extra scans. I'm already booked in for another 3, 1 to check the placenta has moved and the other 2 are growth scans followed by consultant reviews. It's just nice to know that we'll be seeing our girl a few more times before we meet in person lol.

Yeah I'm taking it easy just making sure I'm eating and drinking a lot more than I was and also keeping cool too as the office is the stuffiest place to be.

View so glad that the scan went well for you and congrats on the wee girl. It makes it a bit more real when you know the sex doesn't it. Although they couldn't get all the measurements just think of it as a bonus of seeing your wee girl again in a few weeks time

Does any one have any idea about my stomach? after a mmc in Jan I am really worried xx

Thanks all for your lovely words and support. It really is great to be able to chat to people who, let's face it, you don't know about something so amazing. We are so lucky to have the NHS with free scans and check ups... makes me feel so lucky to not be born in or have a baby in Somalia or other war torn counties where ladies can literally never see a doctor and have babies on hard earth floors.

OH and I have 'semi' decided on a name, we know the middle names already for a pink one (my mum's and his mum's names as they've both passed away). We have back up names just in case.. it's so hard to decide!

Alioops78 - yes means another sneaky peak at the wee one, or wee lassie I will say from now on!

It was slightly out of body for them to be pointing out lips, nose, oh here is the thigh bone etc.... it's such a bizarre thing if you think about it!

oops! I just used the latest copy of the scans and dd up the page I thought but looks like we might have posted at almost same time!... fixed

ref your stomach, I had sharp pains when I turned over in bed or even today when I jumped off the scan 'couch'. It can be your liagmants getting softer to allow for stretchiness or just a general feeling of being unwell (like you've eaten something that disagrees with you). Google 'round ligament pain' also. You'll feel a lot of growing 'pain's and other weird pains. However, if it's not 24 hours a day and agony (and not accommpanied by bleeding, massive headaches/backaches, blurry eyesight and/or fever then you should be ok). If you are worried at all however just phone your midwife.

Just updating the list so my name is in pink as had a scan at 17 weeks and found out it's a girl! Decided on the name Sophia

Pleased to say the tiredness is slightly less now thank goodness!

fresh I had that too particularly if I moved to quickly and am still getting 'pains' now. I agree with View that it's probably stretching / softening etc that you're experiencing but if you're concerned then contact your midwife.
