Trying to pop in more but having a tough time with toddler who now won't go to bed. Anyway we are surfing (just).
Hope you are all well. Had an appointment today with a new midwife, she was nice but not my usual one. Heard heartbeat which is lovely and reassuring.
Now is it possible to tell gender from 12 week scan? I didn't think so but someone was saying it is? She said dead easy to see the boy bits if baby is laying the right way?0 -
I know a friend who had private care found out gender at 13wks and last pregnancy I found out at 15weeks n had confirmed at 20wks0
-
They told me what they though the gender was at my 12 wk scan ....
At the moment I dont feel pregnant at all the nausea has subsided boobs still sore but thats it really be glad to hear heart beat next week
On a positive note got the harmony results back less than 1 in 100000 -
based on forehead an nub theory 98% of people who have seen my scan think boy xx and did from 9weeks on... find out in 2 months
I have sore lower tum like one too many situps/ pulled muscles but not done anything - is this normal? im guessing stretching?
hate the waiting, 16 week on 21st I think, then consultant at 18 week (hopeful get a scan then and find out but doubt it lol) and then 20 week....just want to get half way through I don't think I will relax before then xOfficial DFD: Dec 29Challenge DFD: July 23Debts Cleared: 1/13Building EF: £20/£600 3%0 -
hi all,
Sorry not been around much, have had a tummy bug and associated toilet trips for around 5 days so not felt up to much. Seems to have passed now though I'm so wiped out from it all there will be lots of rest on the cards.
TOFT - great result on the harmony test
Love - pregnancy can be tough, esp. when its been a long road to get here. Just when I start to relax into it, I have a wee panic that it will all be taken away somehow. We just need to go with the flow and acknowledge the feelings then let them pass, thats how I cope with it.
Mr-knight - boo to the lack of sleep!
Freebie - hope the MW comes back to you quickly. frustrating when you know that physio will help you that you can't access it quickly.
View - hope the scan went well!
Ali - hope you are feeling better, take it easy when you can.
Angel - :T to movement! I get kicks and rolls all the time now, and its lovely. placenta is at the back so I seem to feel everything!
RMR - movement low down at first, then all over the place now. I can feel when the baby is sitting low down though not so much when its higher up. There will come a point when you just know its the baby as it can't possibly be anything else!
Timeflies - enjoy the break when it comes!
AFM - all well at last MW app, heard heartbeat which was lovely. Got our care plan as its an IVF pregnancy which involves at least two extra growth scans (28+34 weeks) and then I won't be allowed to go much over my due date, so delivery will be 'around term' as they call it. MW said something about its because in an IVF pg the placenta 'might' stop working normally later on so they keep a close eye on it. Any other IVF ladies on here had this mentioned to them?
Might ask on the big girl thread as I know there are some IVF ladies on there too.
Hugs everyone and sorry to those I've missed! Must go back and find the list, think there will be a few of us moving on up soon!0 -

Hello lovely ladies, just to report back. Just returned from hospital and all ok with the 20 week anomaly scan
:D:D:D the only thing is that the wee girl was lying on her front head down so they couldn't see the heart as closely as they would have liked. Had to go for a walk and wriggle and a few tiny sips of coffee and go back but still no joy. So need to return in a few weeks to try again. The sonographer was lovely (thank goodness) and said that she wasn't worried, she just needed to see the heart valves.
Yes, that's right, I said it... "the wee girl"! Won't be telling anyone in 'real life' however hopefully no-one knows me on here so still a big secret!
All ok with my ECG also, heart rhythm normal.
I feel just so grateful here, just cannot say how grateful I am. Blessed doesn't even come close. You just turn yourself inside out with worry.
Hope everyone is doing well.0 -
that is so lovely to hear
