    Hi all

Daisie (I always thought it was Daisie GG!) think you should call the hospital, although you probably have already by now.

Well we made it home from holiday in one piece, I posted on the big thread by accident but I had the most horrendous diarrhoea the last night and morning, literally every ten minutes or so for hours and hours, and we had a 2 1/2 hour bus journey to the airport. We ended up going to the airport far earlier than we really had to as I wasn't up for lunch or roaming round the city any more, luckily we got a coach with a loo, and I was ok in the end. Slept all day on Sunday, and went to bed straight after work Monday and yesterday, so I'm well rested and feeling much better. We had a lovely holiday up until then anyway, even if we each put on about two stone from all the lovely food :D

I have my 16 week midwife appointment this morning (even though I'm 17+2), hope I get to hear the heartbeat.

Been buying up lots of little bits and pieces for my baby stash from the local For Sale on Facebook. I have a red bumbo seat, box of newborn nappies, lots of little baby vests and other bits and bobs. We have unfortunately discovered that we need to change my car due to problems with car seats (I haven't got isofix and none of the belt-in bases work with my car due to a seatbelt design flaw, and I have a chronic back problem that means I can't really lean over to strap the seat in every time). It's a three door anyway which isn't ideal. So that's the next thing on the agenda, buying a new (used) car which we could do without to be honest. My husband's car is a clapped out old shed of a thing which he's only driving till it falls apart anyway so no point in buying a seat to fit that instead :D

Loveactually my belly has popped out at 17 weeks but I do just look more fat than pregnant unfortunately :( It's rather wobbly. I've always put on weight everywhere but my stomach which has always been more or less flat no matter what weight I've been, so to suddenly have a wobbly fat belly is very weird.

Runmichellerun good luck with the house! Hope you manage to get it :)

Tink I love the skirt you made, and your scan photo is fab, you can really see the baby's facial features.

View according to the chart I'm having a boy, but I did post my scan photos on another forum where they're really into nub theory and everyone without exception thought it was a girl. Who knows!

Peonie how are you feeling? Much better I hope.

Bleeding is not too bad at all this morning so I am leaving it. Baby is moving fine. I only have one lesson today and I am going to see if I can come home after it (normally I would have to stay) and rest. I had four lessons yesterday and was on my feet the whole time and they were all in different classrooms, up and down stairs, and I'm sure I just overdid it a bit. My cervix seems to not like me being on my feet for very long! Hubby keeps saying I should sit down but it is virtually impossible to sit down and teach. I also had really bad lower back pain and an aching bump last night. It is fine this morning, though!

    Hope everyone is ok.

t2d am I right in thinking you are 24 weeks today? :)

Oh I meant to add, we had the carpet put in the baby's room yesterday so it is all decorated and ready :) so hubby will be spending this weekend building furniture! Excited to have somewhere to put things away. At the moment we have loads of things in the corner of the living room so it will be good to move them into her bedroom.

Oh boo I just went to the loo and am bleeding again. Not sure if it is enough to worry about so I think I will put a pad on overnight and see how it is in the morning. Would rather not have to go to hospital! They said I needed to every time I get another bleed but I'm sure it won't be necessary....it happens most weeks now. Fingers crossed it goes overnight!

Just to say I really hope you're ok daisyegg. It can be scary. I had a Subchorionic Hematoma bleed when I was just 12 weeks. Like someone had cut my arm off... local doctor in the wilds of Scotland (we were on holiday) said nothing they could do, just to make me comfortable :( thank goodness for the early pregnancy centre that is open 7 days.. managed to get a scan early Sunday monring and babba was fine, just had a massive bleed from the hematoma. I'm sure you'll be fine but just to say thinking of you and sending positivness your way x

I really hope you're ok - please let us know how you get on.

 TOFT so glad that you could join the madhouse :D

Monty - we were both nervous and excited for the 20 week scan. It's amazing the detail that you can see. I came out grinning from ear to ear although I did have to go for a walk and have some sugary drink & food to wake up sproglet as she was very chilled lol.

AFM not much to report, everyone we've told about us having a girl are absolutely thrilled for us. My Sister BiL, nieces and nephew were talking about names for her and without any prompting my nephew said the name that we've chosen and the girls were close to the middle name we were thinking of. We're a family of psychics lol

Just getting on with things. The consultant said to take it easy especially considering how just wandering round a shopping complex is affecting me so hoping hubby will take the hint and we can start to clear out the spare room over the weekend, with me supervising of course :rotfl:

Oh and stop posting the list up my pelvic floor can't take any more lol

Ahhhh so excited, just been to the midwife and heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was the best thing ever, I'm more on a high from this than I was after our 12 week scan I think :D It was in the 140s which I think also points to being a girl.

Made me wish I'd brought my husband though, do you ladies bring your other half to midwife appointments?
