    Afternoon lady bugs ....

So have been back in hospital again this morning as bleeding started again :(.
We had a scan which showed baby is fine but it did show that I currently have placenta previa :(:(:( I am 14 weeks today so the hope is that by my 20 week scan in July my placenta will move as my uterus moved and grows.... Keeping everything crossed that this is the case .............
This baby business is scary stuff.............

Tinkwings, I actually think that is a good outcome! It is reassuring to know the reason for the bleeding, right? I had placenta previa which was discovered when I started bleeding at 17 weeks. I bled constantly from 17 to 19 weeks and at my 20 week scan he said the placenta had mostly moved :) I still get a tiny bit of spotting now and then but nothing much. I did lots of research when I found out I had it and I read that it moves in all but one out of two hundred women, so there is absolutely every chance in the world it will move. Even if it hasn't by 20 weeks, it very likely will after that. Personally I had been terrified about bleeding with no obvious reason and finding out it was placenta previa was actually a relief :) as the other ladies on here will tell you I did still keep getting upset about the continued bleeding...lol...but at least I knew the reason and did not have to keep rushing to hospital etc.

Just take it easy now :) do you work? I got signed off work for a fortnight until the bleeding had eased. This was not strictly necessary from a medical point of view but it definitely was from the point of view of my mental health. I found I was just thinking about it all the time and felt like I wanted to be resting and putting my feet up even if there was no medical need to. Take care, you will be just fine xx

Tinkwings - glad the baby is ok and hope the placenta moves. Sounds like good odds from what Daisygg says.

I am doing OK today. Had a bit better sleep last night. Only woken once by DD and up for the day at a slightly more reasonable time. At least I get to sit at my desk today which gives me a bit of a break.

    Hi ladies

Not doing too badly here, felt horrible this morning and still not fully recovered.

Last night I had to stop watching Billy Connolly's Big Send Off as I started crying half way through. He's basically looking into how different cultures deal with death etc and it got too much for my pregnancy hormones lol even typing this is making me well up :rotfl:. Then we've been listening to the Harry Potter audio books whilst going to sleep and it was describing Dobby's funeral which set me off again :rotfl:.

Just really can't wait for the 20 week scan now, I'm starting to feel like it's not happening as I've not really felt any movement and I know it's early etc but thought I would have at least felt something by now. Gah, when does it get easier lol.

Tink - so glad that you've got an answer and that daisiegg has gone some way to help with your fears too.

I feel rubbish today (as usual - broken record, sorry :( ) slept really badly last night. Although I had my pregnancy pillow which helped with the back pain and I actually was very comfortable but I still lay awake half the night because I had a really bad pain in my tummy. Don't know what it was...it felt like when you are so absolutely desperate for a wee that it hurts, but I wasn't. Not sure if it was trapped wind or even just baby growing but ergh...it was horrid and kept me up half the night.

So of course as I am tired I have been sick as a dog today. Bringing everything I try to eat or drink straight back up. Feel exhausted and dizzy, and if I try to get up/walk around I have faint spells and have to lie back down. Luckily it is half term so no work!

I feel like I am always moaning, sorry :( much as I love the fact I am having a baby, this pregnancy has been horrid so far. I am almost 22 weeks - when will I feel better?! I feel frustrated too as there are lots of things that I know we won't be able to do so easily when the baby is here, like going out to eat or to the theatre or out with friends, and I wanted to do lots of fun stuff before baby comes...but I don't have the energy to do any of them! I have not been out socially with friends since being pregnant I don't think. Hubby and I have been out for dinner once or twice locally, but I have not been into London at all, which is very unusual as we only live half an hour away and pre pregnancy we would be always going to the theatre or for dinner or drinks. I feel like all I do is sit around the house, often in bed, go to work and sometimes go to Mothercare! Lol.

Sorry again for the moan. Feeling a bit blue today.

Daisiegg have you spoken to anyone about how sick you feel? Perhaps the dr could help because you sound as if you are really suffering and you will end up with severe exhaustion which can bring other problems?
