Good luck for the scan Daisiegg, do you get a 3D one? They used to do it in my area but they've stopped now, you could get a video rather than just still photos as well. Either way, it'll be great to see him/her again. I had a colleague at work who bet on me having a polar bear in the workplace gender sweepstake. I can confirm she wasn't the winner :rotfl:

Winky or Noo Nah, that's got me thinking as to how to refer to those bits later on!

Yes I think we get to see it in 3d (which I am not too sure about..won't it look weird?!) but have to pay extra for DVD which I doubt we will do.

We are all very quiet this morning! I hope that means everyone is having a good weekend :D

We are just off for massages...pregnancy one for me. I haven't had a massage since being pregnant so am really looking forward to it. At least I was, until I found out that I have the ONE girl at the salon that I don't really like. :( generally the ladies there are lovely and most of them are sort of mid to late twenties and have little children themselves. There is just one girl who is about 19, probably a size 6, with the whole fake tan fake eyelashes serious Essex girl thing going on....and...I just don't feel comfortable with her :( which is rubbish because I feel a bit self conscious about getting massaged while pregnant! Never mind. I am too much of a wuss to ask for someone else in case she finds out and is upset!

I just wanted to ask, has anyone thought about nursery furniture yet??

good luck with your scan Daisy, very jealous, I'm now convinced that to find out what sex baby we're having we'll have to wait until it's born and then get a crowbar out to prise it's legs open lol

I've been to knitting circle this morning which was nice, though there's lots of disappointed people who were also hoping to find out what we're having, also picked up a knitted 'coat' pattern that I'm going to knit, can be for either sex and I have a lovely teal green to knit it in which would suit either. Also picked up a few things in the Asda sale, which apparently finishes today. got some vests 0-3 & 3-6, and an outfit for the monster to wear to it's granddads Halloween birthday party - cute little suit with a bunny theme.
mum picked us up some fleece blankets as well, cream, pink and blue ones for £3 each which I thought was pretty good, made the executive decision that blankets don't have to be gender specific really, specially if they're just used at bed time.

Daisy, we've already got our nursery furniture, mum and dad got it for us from M&P, it was in their clearance range, and was half price so a good bargain. I would have liked to have waited a bit for it being delivered but as it was clearance we had to have it delivered almost straight away, so it's now in the garage.
  • I've got drawers, cot bed and change table. I did look for a wardrobe in same finish but ikea hasn't obliged (annoyingly...). For the sake of convenience and budget though i'm just going to mount one of these on a wall either above change table or drawers http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30179435/ it's cheap, cheerful and seems a bit more useful than having to go in and out of a wardrobe for tiny clothes... We're not setting up a nursery until way after baby born anyway as it's in with us for at least first 6 months so don't see point in running around doing it now! Especially when I can spend my time lazing around eating chocolate.... Lol.

tcod, at least on a day like today when it's heaving down you get a nice excuse to just mooch and not do too much. Just concentrate of feeling baby move.
  • Peonie, M would probaby ask us why we cared what other people thought...

Had the same sort of situation in work on friday showing my presentation, just got ripped apart and then nearly landed myself in hot water so now worrying if the manager will quiz me further when have to resubmit on monday. If I don't lie about it I could end up in a disciplinary but totally didn't mean to make mistake i did. Bummer really as thought i'd done well and have made an honest oversight. Probably worrying about nothing but kept me up all last night...

Saw M on thursday and got all upset as only have two more appts with her now and have come to rely on her and her ways of calming me down- which don't work when she's not there! :/

I think you're right. I know it's a good project, and would be able to explain it if it went into the public domain, but they thought it was controversial. I probably did not explain it well enough initially and who knows if I did by the end of the verbal diarrhoea diatribe I came out with. Mr P convinced me not to contact them the next day to explain. Can someone give me a magic bottle of confidence please?

Like you say it was an honest oversight and would be crazy if you got disciplined for a presentation.

M really did help me. I understand why you would get upset. She explains things well and I wish I could remember her advice. I've never been one for self help books but maybe I should be start.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Daisie!

Been dealing with a poorly toddler today :( On the plus side, I did get quite a bit of cross stitch done, as he took a 3 hour nap in the day. We're going away on Monday, so I really hope that DS is feeling better by then!

Good evening ladies! Lots to catch up on!
I've had a lovely few days in Worcester with my friend, I wish she lived closer as I don't get to see her much!

I've been having weird pregnancy dreams. The other night I dreamt my oh out the dog in the oven and I was crying. I woke up feeling like I'd actually been crying!

I almost DID cry today. My boobs have gone even bigger and I found a stretch mark on one  I've always had pert boobs but they are so heavy now they sit against my skin a bit if that makes sense. I've a horrible feeling I'm seriously going to hate my post pg body even more than I hated it before and it scares me.

My appetite has returned thank god so maybe I'll start putting weight on now? I'm def looking pregnant now. Someone asked me in a shop today when I was due, and I was glowing that I was asked lol!
