Yeah, my head's really not in the game today, just come home to find the house no better than when I left it. OH works 5pm-11pm, so he's had plenty of time to do stuff. I've been at work from 11am-8.30pm and in the first half hour have managed to empty/refill the dishwasher, put the tumble drying on, load the washer and shower/make my dinner.

Work's being a bit of a nightmare, everyone else needs time off so it looks like I'll be covering their shifts rather than cutting my hours as I'd like.

I feel like everyone's telling me to "take it easy, you're pregnant" and no-one's doing anything to help me do that :(

    Rant over :)

LemonTree-it does feel a bit weird doesn't it. I found the first 12 weeks went quite slowly but the last 10 have gone so quick. I've started to panic about practical things like antenatal classes and labour now. It all seemed a bit of a dream before :)

feels very weird, like if I knew at the start of the year I was going to become a mum I could have prepared myself mentally for the changes before now.
First 12 weeks went slow for me, think its because we weren't telling people, not sure it's gone any faster since, all I seem to feel like I'm doing is waiting for medical appointments and scans. And I feel like I've been hoping for aaagggggggeeeeessssss to find out what flavour baby we're having.

Hi, it's strange everyone has been thinking/talking about a gender in between baby as I was doing the same! I was trying to think of a gender neutral name so the child could decide he/she's preference.

It's silly but I've been feeling stressed tonight and the only thing I can think of is something from work earlier this week that I can't change. I have a regular meeting with people in the same profession as me but from other organisations and I told them about a trial we are doing (but are keeping quiet - yes I probably should not have said anything) and I was surprised by their negative reaction thus why I'm anxious. It's silly as some people would not even give it a second thought. But I have a tendency to overthink things like this. Tea, what would M. say?

Peonie, I know its a bit of a cliche, but I think hormones are impacting our ability to deal with things like that. I was really anxious about work earlier in the week, even having stressy dreams. I googled being naked in dreams and it said it was a feeling of not being good enough, of worrying people will find out you are incompetent. Which is one of my work worries!

Funny, but reminding myself it is hormones and most likely just over worrying does make it a bit easier. Go easy on yourself, I bet no one else is even thinking about it.

Its the weekend. Take a mental as well as a physical break. Hugs.

I guess technically I've been pregnant since 2/1/14, so it has been all year. Does anyone else think how strange it is that we started this year not even thinking we'll end up as mothers at the end of it, and all of a sudden (if you call 9 mths sudden) we're going to be finishing it as mums. I know I'm not making sense but it does in my head. Probably because i never ever expected a pregnancy so it was more of a surprise.

For me it is the thought that I will have a BABY at Christmas that I can't get my head around. We started trying in January and I fully expected it to take a while so I thought maybe I would be pregnant at Christmas 2014, but with a baby?! Nope...didn't really think about that.

I agree t2d we are a fab group already and I think have come along way from the less than 12 weeks thread when everyone was just (understandably) terrified and in a way I think on that thread you sort of all just have experiences parallel to each other rather than 'with' each other. If that makes sense. Then on this thread people stop feeling quite so terrible and quite so panicked (well, apart from the worries about babies of indeterminate gender! :rotfl:) and actually communicate and get to know each other and start to become a group. I don't know if anyone else reads the next thread up like I do (forewarned is forearmed, I say!) but they seem to have such a lovely group and know each other really well, and I am looking forward to that being all of us :D so weird to think that they will eventually all have their babies and then suddenly it will be us on that numbered list counting down to our arrivals!

In other news...TOMORROW we find out whether Bean has a winky or a noo nah! (please one or the other, please one or the other) I am so excited! Just been amusing myself looking at tiny baby girl/boy shoes as they are one thing that you can't get gender neutral. I swore I would not buy any as they are pointless and a waste of money but ooh...so cute! :o

Oops meant to add, hope everyone has a lovely weekend and gets some well deserved rest. Those with work worries - hope you can switch off for at least some of the time and do something just for YOU!

P - I think the pregnancy definitely has affected how I'm handling stress. Not so bad now but a few weeks ago I was stressing about things I knew I didn't have to but it was like I couldn't control it .

This passed after 2-3 weeks hopefully you will be the same xx
