Wow - so many new ladies all at once. Welcome all! Thanks to Sunshine, for the new thread.
Thanks for the replies yesterday. I would like to contact the consultant obstetrician to discuss but am no longer on their "list" and don't have a number for them (or their secretary). I guess that means they "discharged" me? In fact, I don't really have a number to call at all -- I have the number for the EPU - but I guess that's for emergencies, and I have the community midwives' appointment line but they said ONLY to call them if I needed to change/cancel an appointment. I feel a little lost!
It must be nice to feel baby moving - I haven't felt anything yet I don't think (am around 18 weeks). I'd really like to, maybe I'll try (gently!) poking my protruding tummy to see what happens!

Afternoon - just posted this on the other thread but thought you ladies may like to know
Have just popped into my local Asda and they are reducing all of the baby event stuff. Thought may come in handy for someone? Stairgates were aprox £10ish, high chairs were reduced and I bought a bouncer for about £9.50!
Anyway - next time list is done I can be removed....(Think Mrs Happy is 24 weeks today as well:) ) - will make room for all of the new ladies!
See you on the next thread x0 -
thanks for the tip sophiasmum, I'm going to nip in afterwards and have a nosy
have calmed down a bit now since my worrying of last night, I think I need to get used to baby wriggling around!0 -
Ooops - when I said I'd really like to feel some movement, I didn't mean the sudden movements that had scared you, fireyfirenze. I just meant some gently fluttering-like movements so I know baby's there.
Hope I didn't cause offense!

oh no don't worry I didn't think that at all! I feel a bit silly really haha, they were just so strong and sudden I thought what is going on!0 -
Firey - this is totally normal! wait a few more weeks and you will be completely used to baby doing whole dance routines in there! They also like to completely flip over while they still have the room so this is probably what you felt.
If you feel you need reassurance though always contact your midwife, you wont be the first to ask and definitely wont be the last!0 -
Movement is the weirdest thing. I am OK with kicks, but twice now lil HB has done what feels like a rolypoly, you just feel everything turning over in your stomach! It happened while I was driving today and it was just so weird!! haha!
Bumblebee, this is my first baby and I had a few days when I wasn't sure but I felt definite movement just before 20 weeks... it can vary hugely though. I think if you haven't felt a thing by 24 weeks they get concerned x0 -
*Shiny new thread*
There's an awesome posh second hand clothes shop opened just up the road from me and it sells stacks of maternity clothes. Just got 2 pairs of jeans for £20 :j
The dresses were a bit more expensive at between £10 - £20 but there were some nice party frocks too. It was just so nice to try things on. Any East London ladies send me a PM if you want the address.
It makes me feel better after accidentally buying the most expensive cherry tomatoes in the history of time £2.00 for this tiny bag and then I was too ashamed to put them back.
I also realised I am massively overpaying my phone bill compared to my current deal. For what I actually use I can swap from £22pm at 02 to £7.50 at Ts supermarket. Sheesh and I call myself a moneysaver :A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
I popped into ADSA today and there was nothing really reduced
I work with the managers wife, so may have a word, lol!
That's me 24 weeks today so I'll move on up, and can be taken off the list next time it's updated. See you all soon on the big thread0
