Lisa I'm still down regging and feel as though I have been forever! Hope it's good news at your scanlet us know how you get on. What is the drip part for?
Tea, I find it hard to talk myself round too (although therapist says I should be able to, grrr) so will aim for distraction instead. Creme eggs are on you if it's payday
Code - GP's are so f**king rude - it honestly makes my blood boil. What other profession would get away with speaking to people like that? I know if I did it to my clients I would not be employed for very long! Losing weight is hard full stop and when you add all the drugs and stress into the mix it feels nigh on impossible, don't listen to them honey. Is there anyone else you can see? You definitely don't deserve any of this, hugs right back at you.

But WW, if you just relax it'll magically happen, and if it doesn't, just adopt. It's easy!! My hairdresser's, cousin's, sister-in-law's best friend's aunt's cousin's hamster's vet tried to get pregnant for 2 whole weeks then she relaxed and now she's pregnant with octuplets and while she was waiting she adopted 25 babies who weren't at all traumatised by the neglected life they had with their crystal meth addicted hooker mothers and now they all live together in a big house with Daddy Warbucks and lots of Disney forest animals doing the housework!! (That sort of thing??)
I think next time I'll ask to see the doctor I usually see because she's really nice and listens rather than trying to get me to go away. Trouble with my GP is you phone in the morning to get an appointment and just have to take whoever you get. Honestly, it wasn't like I went in asking for a pill to make me a supermodel. I just wanted to know if there was anything that could be done to minimise the side effects. Or if there was another drug that might be more suitable since this one isn't helping anymore.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
So final scan today and 25 follies :j of which range in size from 10 up to 22. They hope to get at least 20 but can't say for certain that will be OK to use. My lining is 9.3
So now I have my final injections and trigger shot (that must be kept in fridge) all ready to go. Getting a call later to say what time Sat to take it ready for Monday as needs to be taken 36 hours in advance.
On monday have to check in at 7am  ! I hope I am one of the first so don't have to wait too long as a little nervous about the general!
Just a quick reminder - the clocks change at end of month so take this into consideration if about to start a course of injections when picking a time! I was allowed to choose so picked 8am and 5.30pm (get to leave an hour early at monent).
Re the "just relax" comment - actually I have had this also said for a slight different reason as at every scan as got a bit tense from nurves!!! :rotfl:0 -
Hi WW I m also on long protocol, DR ed for 22 days before I moved on to the stims. I think it's the DR stage also which makes us depressed because we are actually being put in a menopausal state.
I was also feeling down during DR once stims started it was like a light switched on I started thinking more positive and much happier.
Had my day 5 blood test today. Hospital told that they will only call if there is a problem in report other wise to continue on same levels until Tuesday for my scan.
No call yet, hope it's good then.Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
Good follie-growing star, hope you get a great result on EC day. I am jealous that you're so close to having a GA, I love 'em! Interesting point about the clocks changing, I must have been stimming when the clocks changed last year, but have no recollection of it lol.
LA - totally agree about DRing. On my cancelled cycle (was put on LP by mistake and DR'ed for weeks before they noticed) I felt sooooo low. Felt the same when I was on just menopur but my spirits definitely lifted when I added cetrotide in. Fortuntely the menopur-only stage should only be 5 days again so hopefully I'll be able to hold it together. I distinctly remember having a tantrum on a rare night out last year and coming home in a right strop and posting all about it:rotfl:.
code - big hugs. How mean is your doctor??0 -

Hey ladies,
Sorry I have been missing in action just recently. I've got so many pages to go back and read!
Hope everyone is doing ok?
Little update on me : well CD1 here, the 1500mg of metformin and 150mg of Clomid didn't make me ovulate. Not even close.
So we have a follow up appointment on 26th of this month. This is the point at which they will say " Private IVF " as they've already told me not to take anymore Clomid.
Disappointed......upset.....crazy.....learning to accept the fact that it's just NOT going to happen for us without IVF.
Suppose some good news is that yesterday I got offered a new job! Much better hours, way way better pay, and still very close to home. So that's exciting. But we've decided that we are going to take a 12-18 month break. Perhaps even going on the pill!! So that I have time to settle into my new role and we have time to save up some money for IVF.
The consultant has suggested we seriously consider egg sharing? Does anyone have any experience of this from the donors point of view? She's suggested that because I am only 25.
Will have a read through over the weekend and see where you are all up to!

Hospital just called and moved my scan date to Monday .
One day pre-poned. I am freaking out now is this good or bad ???Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
Hi ladies.
La
From your levels they might just think you may be ready sooner than they think? By your first scan I will have already had 2 so maybe they just wanna have a peek a bit earlier?
Just got back from my 1pm appointment! About 5 on each side some at 10mm and others smaller but only on day 5 of stims so that's ok. Not bad from a long termer oldie with crap AMH i think? (I hope!!) I can't never remember how we did last time round but seems ok to me so far.
The drip was NOT fun. They got it in ok set it off and went off for ten minutes. After about 5 minutes my arm really really hurt and started to swell up and went a funny colour!!
Called the doctor back and she took it out right away, I was worried I was allergic to it or something so really started sobbing (and it really hurt!!) she calmed me down and got me a drink and we had to wait for my arm to stop bring do painful, I had to keep moving it to get the swelling to absorb, she said it had 'tissued' so come out of the vein and gone into the flesh in my arm.
After a while we tried again in the other arm. She got it on ok again but it wouldn't flush properly and the other doctor wasn't happy with it either. Out again.
Finally the senior bloke came in with 2 nurses and got my sore arm and found a good vein he says with nice access and finally got it in right ( although that arm is still very sore and swollen) finally got the drip going and it all went in ok eventually. That was flipping horrible tbh!
And to top it all off my next scan is on Sunday morning, at 9am at my clinic which is an hour from home. Poor me!
But I survived :-)2 angels in heaven :A0 -

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Yep that ^^ As if, once I start thinking positively DH's tubes will magically be fixed.
Thanks for the hugs PMHow are you feeling?
Loveactually I'm sure you're right, just don't remember feeling this carp last time I DR'd. DH says I've blocked it from my mind.
MrsDavo - we looked into egg sharing in January to try and cut the cost of our cycle (in half effectively) but they really stressed how you have to be completely prepared that your cycle might fail BECAUSE you gave away your best embryo and the donor's cycle was successful. I know it sounds obvious but when I really thought about it I knew in all honestly I couldn't be okay with that. Sorry, I don't mean to sound really negative about it as it's an amazing thing to do but just explaining why we didn't go ahead. Also, you have to be 'matched' with a recipient and go through treatment at the same time so it can delay your cycle but if you're planning treatment in 12-18months time then probably wouldn't be an issue.
Lisa that doesn't sound much fun but glad your stimming is going well, thats fantastic for day 5. I think once they start growing they grow pretty quickly.

Oh yeh I'm expecting them to zoom along quite rapidly now I hope, just comparing to my first go back when I was about 23.
We had 24 eggs I think, not that they did me any good!
The drip was for my autoimmune disorder to stop my body rejecting my embryos when they are put back2 angels in heaven :A0
